Experience at HBTU Kanpur

Overall Rating
The overall review if I give is quite i.e. a three point five star rating, the campus is good but its infrastructure is so old, as it was started working form the times of Britishers, the classes are also good and fine, they are using digital screens in some of the classes while some classes were without digital screen.
 

Academics Rating
Firstly give yours JEE Main Exam and then go for counselling i.e. you can go in their official website hbtu.ac.in to see more details regarding admission procedure. See the course fee for our first year is one lakh thirty five thousand and from second year to final year it reduces to one lakh twenty seven thousand rupees which is quite high for a tier three college, but yes at the end you can get the good placement package.
 

Faculty Rating
See I do not have idea about other core and noncore branches, but for our branch the faculty is so damn good, they are very supportive and kind for students, this thing we like the most about our faculty. Not like every teacher they used to teach, instead they take extra classes whenever we want from them, so to learn something from teachers this is good place.
 

Placement Rating
Placements are not so low and not so high its quite average here, but yes students gets started placing from third year onwards, its fine to study there if you are thinking about placement in the end.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels are good, clean only thing is bad that the hostel premises are six kilometres away from campus, which makes it difficult for us sometimes to reach on time in campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of college is old, and they are not improving it rapid even one new chemical technology department has been made now and started, like that department we want more but it will happen when we pass out. Overall the college is not so big, you can explore the college in not more than two three hours, honestly if you are coming for infrastructure facility, it’s not good there.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is so fine, because everything we want to live and enjoy is here, yes but you will get bored after sometime because there are not so many places to visit and explore. Yes we enjoy in our canteen, classes bunk, late night outs also it is a good place to stay for students. This place is cheap as compared to other places they have high cost of simple daily life products.

    With my joint entrance examination rank (JEE) Harcourt Butler Technical University was the best college I was getting. Overall HBTU is a good college as it is 101 years old institute, it has very strong and large alumni network. The only thing which I regret is it's bad infrastructure compared to NITs....     Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur is a Uttar Pradesh Government Technical University and it is also called HBTU and it is divided into two campuses as East campus and West campus and. I initially affiliated to AKTU but in 2016 it became independent technical university approved by AICTE and it is rated A by NAAC.
