Class and faculty with department

Overall Rating
This institution has great so far. I really love the place and the atmosphere around here in St. Joseph University, Nagaland which is run by DMI and MMI sister and fathers. If I'm not wrong, I had interaction with all the departments as all the building blocks are connected. Mostly consist of arts students but I took B.Tech Engineering subject. Here teachers are okay.
 

Academics Rating
The teaching is so far okay but there is always a scope of improvement. Academics are mostly based on our engineers and the aim is to spend more time on doing practical rather than doing theory classes. Our class starts from 9 AM to 3 PM. I'd rather say classes’ hours are a little bit less as compared to other engineering classes as the break is of 50 minutes and I strongly think that we should have long class hours.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty should provide more smart learning classes through projector rather than with the regular white board and marker. I strongly liked how professors are very regular as they don't waste time in arriving to the class.
 

Placement Rating
Right now, I'm not really clear about the placements. St. Joseph has recently started partnership with internship which offers jobs and placement to certain department and also part time jobs. As far as my knowledge is concern in the final year, we will be having our interview for the job placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel condition is not good according to my expectations. I stay in nonattached bathroom. The toilets and bathrooms are usually dirty even after we clean once a month. As for me, non-attached bathroom is the biggest problem I'm facing by using a dirty bathroom. Rooms are overall good, but I really hope the food in hostel should be upgraded. They give a bad quality of rice which makes us hungry after some duration and curry should also be improved.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus constitutes 5 blocks that are A, B, C, D, and E blocks and one management building separately. The St. Joseph University, Nagaland also has high school near the management building which can be seen right after entering the main gate. Near the main gate you can find girls hostel and later than two buildings management and high school. Our campus has football ground and two basketball court with couple badminton and volleyball court. Boy's hostel is situated at the end of the campus.
 

Campus Rating
The campus is quite ecofriendly. Has the facility of canteen which remain open till 4 PM in working days and you can find pretty much good foods with the reasonable price. Mess hall is provided separately for boys and girls and also for the students at high school. The water supply is not good. Sometimes it broke down. To be honest it really needs to be improved.

    St. Joseph University has a good big campus spreading over 33 acres of land with connected roads and easy accessibility to the airport and railway station within six-kilometer distance. The university has a good with infrastructure, laboratories, computer labs, and library. The education system we are following is direct provided and there is no choice-based system....
