One of the Best 2nd generations IIT

Overall Rating
The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar is one of the best 2-tier IIT with fast growing culture and infrastructure. The most growing IIT with expanding its infrastructure to its peak by constructing North India's biggest Infrastructure "The Super Academic Block”. The newcomers are attracted by the lush green huge campus of 500 acres.
 

Academics Rating
Being and fresher in Mechanical Engineering at IIT ROPAR, I would always advice all the JEE aspirant that according to my experience Mechanical Engineering of IIT ROPAR is the best course than other here and of you are a fresher passionate in production and industrial manufacturing must join it. The entry is based on your JEE Advances rank and in 2023 it was closed on almost 8k for General Category. My motive to enroll in it was having career in production.
 

Faculty Rating
Truly, being fresher I am not much known about other branch faculty, but definitely Mechanical engineering faculty is excellent with cooperative nature. Faculty here had a great hierarchy associative to Dean.
 

Placement Rating
At the time the average is good till 15 lakhs for Mechanical Department. But the fast-growing development would definitely increase to above 20 lakhs in few years. CSE have 30 lakh packages.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel here are 4 for Boys and 3 for girls with excellent facilities as other IITs. Comparing to old IITs, Infrastructure is new and well-maintained duet rooms are given to freshers at Brahmaputra Girls /boys Hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Awesome infrastructure with great facilities. The super academic block would North India's biggest building and would be inaugurated in January 2024.it would have capacity to hold all classes of Transit campus. Recently new cafeteria and new mess had been inaugurated. Infrastructure is great here with all facilities. Large library and sport complex.
 

Campus Rating
Definitely you would have a great and joyful campus life. With a friend and seniors of almost every part of India. IIT ROPAR has 35 clubs in culture sports and technology. I joined 10 clubs; it is really a great experience lots of exploring activities.

    Actually, for getting a seat into IITs we have to clear JEE Advanced, and which is one of the toughest exams in the world. I thought to opt for this college because it was near to my city, and I am getting a seat in department of chemical engineering. You should go for this because this college has a great infrastructure and many more facilities.... Read Full Review

    I will give my personal experience to choose this institute because out of 2nd generation IIT it is far better than others. This institute is better in term of research, better infrastructure, and better campus life.     IIT Ropar is very good college. This is a big campus in 525 acres including all types of facilities as sports music dance. There is a variety of clubs in our college.
