The WBJEE exam pattern 2025 will be notified to the students through the exam’s official website that is “wbjeeb.nic.in”. The paper pattern will help the candidate to know the exam structure. This state-level entrance exam will be conducted in offline OMR based mode. The WBJEE exam will be of 2 hours each for each paper (total 4 hours) including Paper I i.e., Mathematics followed by Paper II i.e., Physics & Chemistry.

The WBJEE exam pattern 2025 has a total of 3 subjects including Mathematics in Paper I and Physics & Chemistry in Paper II. The exam pattern for all three subjects are further divided into 3 categories i.e., Category 1, Category 2, and Category 3 on the basis of their marking scheme & number of questions.

For both the papers, including all three subjects, the WBJEE pattern 2025 marking scheme is divided into 3 categories which are mentioned below:
In the first category, all the questions in both papers (three subjects) carry 1 mark for each question and there is -¼ negative marking for each wrong answer.
In the second category, all questions in Paper I and Paper II carry 2 marks for each question. For each incorrect answer, there is -½ negative marking applicable.
All the questions of Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry in the third category carry 2 marks for every question. Moreover, there is no minus marking. Moreover, more than one option can be correct for a question.
* In category 1 and 2, each response with more than one answer marked will be treated as an incorrect one and there will be negative marking applicable for the same.
Notes to Consider about Papers
The PwD Candidates / those who have a benchmark disability get some special facilities as per the exam pattern of WBJEE 2025. The benchmark for the disability for such candidates is set as per the Section 2(r) of the RPWD Act, 2016. According to this section, the PwD candidates need to have a specified disability of at least 40 percent.
Special facilities available for such students are listed below:
* The special arrangements for PwD candidates in the examination will be done only in the Board Office situated in Kolkata. Special facilities are not available at any other exam centre of WBJEE 2025.
