UPCATET Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme, Exam Day Requirements & Total Marks

The UPCATET exam pattern 2025 for the Undergraduate & Postgraduate courses states that the entrance test will be conducted for a period of 180 minutes through offline Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) mode, wherein the question paper will consist of different sets of questions, depending on the program.

A total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions will be asked in the exam paper for a total of 800 marks. The exam medium will be English & Hindi. Each question carries 4 marks & -1 mark will be deducted from the total marks for every wrong answer.

According to the UPCATET exam pattern 2025, each Undergraduate, Postgraduate, & Ph.D program that is offered through the entrance test is placed under a particular Group of Paper which has a specific exam code. The details of the same are given in the tables below:

For Undergraduate Programs

As per the UPCATET exam pattern 2025, the courses are divided among 4 groups of paper namely, PCB, PCM, PAG, PHS. The exam pattern for each of these groups is discussed below in detail:

For PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) & PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) Group

For the MBA (Agri-Business Management) Program, the UPCATET exam 2025 pattern varies in comparison with the other courses in terms of exam duration and total number of questions & marks.

The UPCATET marking scheme is decided by its exam conducting body i.e., SVBP University through which the test scores of the students are calculated. According to the UPCATET exam pattern 2025, the marking criteria is as follows:

• 4 marks will be given to the candidates for every question they answer correctly.
• -1 mark will be deducted for each wrong attempted / answered question.

The exam conducting authority designs the UPCATET exam pattern 2025; the questions in the test paper will be included on the basis of the syllabus.
