The UPCATET 2025 registration will be done online probably from the 4^th Week of March 2025 till the 2^nd Week of May 2025 (tentative). The State-level UPCATET stands for UP Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test. It is conducted by the SVBP University via offline OMR based mode for admissions in various UG, PG, and Ph.D courses.

Students are supposed to make certain that they meet the requisite eligibility requirements of their preferred course so that they may not face any interruption during the registration & application of the exam and later on during the admission process. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology (conducting authority) is likely to open the registration portal for the UPCATET 2025 in the 4^th Week of March 2025. Students will probably be able to complete their UPCATET Registration & pay the Application Fee till the 2^nd Week of May 2025. The correction window for modifying certain details in the UPCATET application form will be open tentatively from the 2^nd Week of May 2025 to 3^rd Week of May 2025.

SVBP University (conducting body) will conduct the UPCATET 2025 for admission in different UG, PG, and Ph.D programs & thus the UPCATET Syllabus for all the offered programs varies.

In accordance with the instructions of the conducting authority, students willing to take admission in the undergraduate courses have to prepare according to the intermediate level syllabus of the Uttar Pradesh Board in the respective subjects. For the Postgraduate courses, candidates have to study as per the syllabus of the relevant subjects in Graduation.

For the PCB & PCM Group of Paper (UG Programs)

Aspirants who have opted for the PCM / PCB Exam Group should prepare on the basis of subjects given below:

Students are required to be familiar with the UPCATET Exam Pattern so that they do not face any troubles on the actual date of the UPCATET 2025 examination. In accordance with the exam pattern stated by the SVBP University (conducting authority), this OMR-based offline test is held only once annually in a single session.

The exam duration for all the Undergraduate & Postgraduate courses is 3 hours wherein, they will be required to answer 200 questions for a total of 800 marks, respectively. According to the marking scheme, applicants will be granted 4 marks for each correct response & -1 mark will be subtracted for every wrong attempted question.

*It is to be noted that the exam pattern for the MBA program differs from the other courses offered through the UPCATET entrance test.

The conducting body will release the UPCATET Admit Card 2025 in the Last Week of May 2025 on its official website “upcatet.org”. Students are required to download their admit card for appearing in the UPCATET 2025; their respective registration number & date of birth will be required to download.

Applicants should be aware that it is mandatory to carry the printout of the admit card to the test centre without which they will not be permitted to enter the UPCATET exam hall. Moreover, candidates are required to attach their passport size photo with the admit card.

• Before beginning the UPCATET Preparation 2025, it is very important for the candidates to read & understand the syllabus thoroughly, and make a study plan according to it like distributing more time to the complex topics, etc.

There are certain guidelines issued by the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture & Technology (conducting body) that every student must adhere to on the exam day of the UPCATET 2025. If students are found violating any of the regulations, disciplinary actions might be taken against them, leading to cancellation of their candidature.

Some of the examination day instructions / guidelines are given below:

• Applicants should reach the exam centre at least 45 minutes before the entrance test starts. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall 15 minutes after the commencement of the test.
• Students have to carry their admit card, one identity card (Driving License / Aadhaar Card / Voter ID Card / Passport), 2 passport size photographs (same as uploaded during the online registration) to the exam hall without which they will be disqualified from taking the UPCATET 2025 exam.
• The dress code for appearing in the exam is a half sleeve shirt (for male candidates), half sleeves top without button (for females), bottoms, and slippers. Furthermore, students should not be wearing a uniform / other material of any coaching centre.
• Using calculators, mobile phones, and Bluetooth devices is strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
• Use black ball point pen only to mark the answers on the OMR sheet & also read the instructions given on the question paper booklet carefully before answering any question. In case the candidates have made any mistake in filling in the details in the OMR answer sheet, their answer sheets will be rejected.
• The answer of the respective question has to be encircled & filled completely on the OMR sheet. Also, do not remove any page from the UPCATET exam 2025 question booklet & do not do any rough work on the OMR answer sheet.

Cut-off refers to the minimum qualifying marks that the applicants need to secure in order to qualify the UPCATET 2025.

On the basis of the last year’s guidelines of the conducting body, students belonging to the General and OBC category have to obtain at least 10% marks & the SC / ST students have to secure minimum 5% marks.

After qualifying the UPCATET 2025, students need to appear for the UPCATET Counselling Process 2025 which is done via 3 online rounds and offline & special offline counselling rounds, respectively.

Online Counselling

The counselling rounds are expected to begin from the Last Week of June 2025 (for UG programs) & from 3^rd Week of July 2025 for the PG programs.

The online counselling process is discussed below in detail:

• Register online at “upcatet.org” and pay a registration fee of Rs. 500/- (per round). Post this, fill-in and lock the desired courses & Universities in the order of preference.
• Results will be announced & allocation of seats will be done; following this, upload the documents for verification.
• After successful verification, submit a security fee of Rs. 5, 000/- online & download the provisional allotment letter.
• Now, report to the university and appear for the process of UPCATET Seat Allotment 2025 & document verification for the same. 

*The seats will be allotted on the basis of combined rank of the candidates & online choice filling.  

*Eligible candidates can avail the benefits of upgradation of course in online / offline counselling by paying a security deposit fee of Rs. 5, 000/-.

Offline Counselling

The offline counselling is likely to be held from the 1^st Week of September 2025 and the special offline counselling from the 4^th Week of September 2025 tentatively.

The steps for offline counselling process are:

• After online counselling, admissions will be offered via offline counselling & special offline counselling. For the same, candidates have to register on the official website for the scheduled date.
• For each offline counselling, a registration fee of Rs. 500/- has to be paid after which students have to download the letter for the offline counselling.

* To get admission under the NRI / NRI sponsored quota, applicants must have already been allotted a seat & are interested & eligible for admission under this quota.
