The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Hyderabad i.e., the test conducting body is responsible to design the TG POLYCET exam eligibility criteria every year.

In order to apply for the TS POLYCET / TG POLYCET 2025 exam, students need to ensure that they fulfill the below-given eligibility criteria:

• Academic Qualifications: Students desiring to appear in the exam should have passed any one of the following qualifications:
  • SSC exam conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh / Telangana.
  • Any other equivalent exam to SSC, recognised as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, AP / TS such as CBSE / ICSE / NIOS / TOSS / Others. Students belonging to these boards must have qualified Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry with at least 35% marks in each subject.
  • Class 10^th with Science / Mathematics conducted by the State Boards of Secondary Education in India.

*Candidates should have Mathematics in Class 10^th for admission in Polytechnic Diploma courses offered by SBTET; Science is required at SSC level for admission in other courses offered by the participating Institutes.

• Qualifying Marks: Secured minimum of 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Age Limit: No lower or upper age limit is prescribed.
• Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen and Domicile of Andhra Pradesh / Telangana.

• For admission in Veterinary Courses offered by PVNRTVU and Horticultural Courses offered by SKLTSH, students who have passed 10 + 2 or above are not considered eligible.
• Candidates should know that Diploma programs offered by the University are not considered equal to Intermediate or any other vocational courses offered by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
• During the admission process, eligible students are required to submit a certificate from their Head of Institution. The certificate must state that they have studied for a minimum time of 4 years in the school situated in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from Class 1^st to 10^th (any four years).
