The Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TG POLYCET) is also known as the TS POLYCET exam that is conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Telangana. TG POLYCET 2025 is held to offer admission to the qualifying candidates in the Engineering / Non Engineering / Technology Diploma Programs at the Government, the Aided & Un-aided Polytechnics Institutions and Polytechnics run in Private Engineering Colleges of the Telangana State.
Additionally, students will be eligible for admission through TG POLYCET in the Diploma Courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary, Fisheries, etc. offered by the SKLTSHU, PJTSAU, and PVNRTVU & their respective affiliated Polytechnic Colleges / Institutes.

The registration for the TG POLYCET 2025 will begin tentatively in the 3rd Week of February 2025. Students must complete their TG POLYCET Registration by the 4th Week of April 2025 (tentative) online through the official website of the exam i.e., “polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in” / at the nearest TS Online Centres / Coordinating Centres (Polytechnics).
Candidates belonging to the SC / ST category need to pay a registration fee of Rs. 250/- and the others (unreserved) must pay Rs. 500/-.
In order to apply for the TS POLYCET 2025, students are required to register at the official portal by entering their details like Applicant’s Name, Mobile Number, etc. & generate an OTP. Then, they need to Login using the password received on the provided mobile number, pay the registration fee and fill in the Application Form including details like Personal Details, Communication Details, Test Centre Details, and upload the asked documents, followed by generating a hall ticket for the exam.

The TG POLYCET Syllabus 2025 consists of 4 subjects which are Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Students have to prepare on the basis of the same for the exam.
The syllabus of the exam is based on the SSC / 10th class curriculum of Telangana state. Aspirants are suggested to stick to the syllabus to study for the exam since it will help them in preparing proficiently & securing better marks in the TS POLYCET 2025 / TG POLYCET 2025.

The TG POLYCET 2025 will be held for a period of 150 minutes in 1 session. The exam will be held via Offline Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) based mode. Each question in the exam will carry a weightage of 1 mark. Moreover, there will be no negative marking.
According to the TG POLYCET Exam Pattern, there will be 4 sections in the exam and 60 questions will be asked in the Mathematics section, and 30 questions each in the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology section. The questions will be asked in both English & Telugu languages and 4 options will be given to choose from out of which only one is right. Students have to darken the circle of the right option against the respective question number on the OMR response sheet using a HB pencil only.
*Applicants must note that if they darken more than one circle against a question, the response to that particular question will be reviewed as invalid & no mark will be awarded for the same. For changing the answer, erase the darkened circle and then mark the new response circle.
*For the students who wish to take admission in the Diploma Courses in the Agricultural & Veterinary offered by PVNRTVU, PJTSAU & SKLTSHU have to attempt the Biology Section. It is optional for the others to attempt the Biology section because their ranks will be issued on the basis of their marks in MPC.
Note: Two separate ranks shall be generated by the conducting body wherein, for the MPC students, the total marks secured will be out of 120; and for the MBiPC, their ranks will be issued by reducing their marks in Mathematics to 30.

For appearing in the TG POLYCET 2025, students have to select 3 Districts and Mandals in the order of their preferences while filling in the Application Form. The allotted TS POLYCET / TG POLYCET Exam Centres will be mentioned in the Hall Ticket of the candidates.
Students who wish to take the exam in Urdu Medium will be allotted a separate test centre from the Government, Polytechnic, Masabtank, Hyderabad, wherein assistance for translation will be provided to them. For availing this provision, candidates should select the Urdu medium when they will fill the Application Form for the TG POLYCET exam 2025.
