Students aspiring to get admission in the B.Ed course through the TG EdCET exam must satisfy its eligibility criteria. The TS EdCET Eligibility Criteria 2025 is as follows:

Nationality:

• Should be an Indian National.
• Candidates must satisfy the ‘Local’ and ‘Non-Local’ status requirements as prescribed in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974, as subsequently amended.

Educational Qualifications:

Candidates should have qualified any of the following:

• BA / B.Com / B.Sc / B.Sc (Home Science) / BCA / BBM / B.A. (Oriental Languages) / BBA or Masters Degree and secured minimum 50% marks.
• Obtained minimum 50 % marks in BE / B.Tech or its equivalent.

* 10% relaxation to SC / ST / BC and PwD category candidates. Aspirants who are still pursuing their final year of graduation are also eligible to appear for TG EdCET 2025.

Age Limit:

• Completed at least 19 years of age.
• No upper age limit.

TG EdCET exam authority has prescribed reservation criteria on the basis of following requirements:

The Local Area Wise-Reservation details are as follows:

• 85% seats are reserved for the local candidates and remaining 15% seats are left unreserved as prescribed in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.
• Reservation available for candidates residing in local areas under - Mahatma Gandhi University, Andhra University, and Sri Venkateswara University.

Moreover, admission on remaining 15% unreserved seats are provided to those students who have satisfied any of the following criteria:

• Students who are declared as local residents.
• Candidates who have stayed in the Telangana State for a total of 10 years excluding the time of study from outside the state.
• Candidates whose either of the parents / spouses are working in the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other alike quasi-public institutions in the state during the period of application submission.

Candidates with following criteria are not eligible to appear in the TS EdCET / TG EdCET 2025 exam:

• Students who have qualified MBBS / B.Sc (AG) / BVSC / BHMT / B.Pharm and any other professional courses along with job oriented courses like LL.B.
• Candidates with Masters Degree without pursuing any UG course.
