SNAP Exam 2024: Registration (Ongoing), Date, Eligibility, Syllabus, and More

SNAP - the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is an entrance exam for MBA admissions in Symbiosis Institutes. For all the three sessions of the SNAP 2024 exam, the registrations have already started and the exam dates are 8th December 2024 for session one, 15th December 2024 for session two, and 21st December 2024 for session three.

SNAP is a national-level exam for aspirants seeking admissions in the MBA course in one of the top Institutes i.e., Symbiosis. SIU - Symbiosis International (Deemed) University conducts these entrance tests for students once a year.

Eligible students can look forward to applying / registering for the SNAP exam to apply for an MBA course in any of the 17 Institutes of Symbiosis offering this program. The highlights of the upcoming exam i.e., SNAP 2024 can be checked with the table given-below:

As per the SNAP 2024 Eligibility Criteria, the candidate must have qualified 50% aggregate marks (45% for ST / SC) in a UG Degree / Graduation in any discipline from a recognised Institute / University. Moreover, there is no minimum or maximum age limit set by the authorities in order to appear for SNAP exam 2024.

*Students appearing in their final year of graduation and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

The exam is conducted in three sessions; the last date to fill the SNAP 2024 Application forms for any of these sessions is 22^nd November 2024. 

As the registrations have been started and the exam authorities have released the application forms on the official website, students who want to apply need to visit ‘snaptest.org’ to access the same. In order to successfully register / apply for SNAP 2024, candidates must fill the required details of the application forms as soon as possible and pay the registration fees i.e., Rs. 2250/- per test.

The SNAP 2024 Syllabus comprises three sections / subjects from which the students can expect questions in the main exam. On the basis of past years’ syllabus, the first section is General English which analyses verbal abilities, reading comprehension & verbal reasoning of the students. The second section is Analytical & Logical Reasoning, and the third section of SNAP syllabus is Quantitative, Data Interpretation, and Data Sufficiency.

Exam pattern of SNAP 2024 needs to be checked by the students in order to understand what type of questions they can expect in the paper, the marking scheme of the exam, total duration, etc. According to the SNAP 2024 Exam Pattern, the students must know that the total duration of the exam paper will be 60 minutes in which they need to complete all 60 questions. Each question will carry one mark so the complete paper will be of 60 marks.

There will be 3 sections as same as the Syllabus; 15 questions will be included from the first section, 25 questions from the second session and 20 questions from the third section in SNAP 2024 exam paper. All the questions in the exam will be in MCQ format and have 4 choices each. The students will need to select one correction option and for every right answer they will be awarded with 1 mark. For every incorrect response, -0.25 marks will be deducted.

The SNAP 2024 Admit Card will be made available by the authorities for students on the official website. As the SNAP exam will be conducted in three sessions, admit cards for all of these will be released separately. For session 1, the Admit card will be released on 2^nd December 2024. For Session 2, it will be released on 9^th December 2024. At last, for Session 3, the authorities will make the Admit Card available on 15^th December, 2024.

As soon as Admit Cards will be released, students must go to the official website to download their Card and check the exam timings mentioned on it. The authorities will communicate session timings to the students through the Admit Card only. The allotted test centre will also be mentioned on the Admit Card which the students will need to check carefully.

SNAP 2024 will be conducted in approximately 80 cities across the country which will be referred to as the exam centres / test centres. While filling the application form, students need to list one preferred city per test. Later on, the authorities will allot any one test centre to each student. Students must note that the test centres are allotted on the basis of first come first serve basis.

If the students want to appear for more than one session, they will need to list more than one preferred test city. For example, if the student wishes to appear for 2 sessions, two test cities need to be listed in preference. The number of sessions students willing to appear for and the preferred cities / test centres they list in the application form need to be the same.

The aspirants of SNAP need to prepare very well in order to achieve good scores as it is a National-level entrance exam. For effective preparation, students can follow the below-given SNAP 2024 preparation tips:

• The students must make a study plan / agenda and stick to it for their preparation. The plan needs to be created in such a way that it utilises the available time and allows the student to take enough hours for preparation.
• The candidates must refer to the correct study resources during their preparation for the test.
• Students must identify which sections they find the most challenging and allot more study time to the same.
• Aspirants should take the mock test / practice test in order to identify their weaknesses and strengths. Mock tests will also help the students to become more familiar with the exam pattern & the questions.

Apart from studying from the best resources, students must keep themselves updated by reading newspapers & taking general quizzes.

The test conducting authorities i.e., the SIU prescribe the guidelines for SNAP. Students should follow such guidelines to have a hassle-free experience on the exam day of SNAP 2024.

• The students must arrive and report at the test centre around two-hours prior the exam time in order to complete the verification & other formalities.
• Students need to bring their printed Admit Card along with a latest coloured passport size photograph attached to it.
• Candidates should not bring any kind of electronic devices such as cell phones, smart watches, alarm clocks, or other gadgets.
• Students must know that exchanging of any items during the exam is strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

Candidates will have to remain seated in the examination hall until the exam time does not get over.

Aspirants who are preparing for the exam must consider solving the SNAP previous year question papers to make their preparation more effective. The PDFs of previous year papers can be free downloaded by the students in order to practise with these sample papers.

Students must note that the past year exam papers follow the same question pattern & marking scheme which they will have in the SNAP 2024. Solving such previous year papers will assist the candidates in analysing the level of their exam preparation and help them in familiarising themselves with the paper pattern.

The exam authorities of SNAP 2024 will conduct a mock test on 23^rd October 2024. Only those students who complete their exam registration fee payment by 18^th October 2024 will be eligible to apply for the Mock test. The students will be notified with the mock test URL and their login ID & password (to access the mock test) on the contact details they have provided during the registration process.

Students should know that exam authorities design mock tests in such a way that it follows the exact exam pattern of the actual paper. Also, the students eligible to appear for the mock test will need to complete it within the time frame of 60 minutes because the total duration of SNAP 2024 will also be the same. The main motive of mock tests is to make the students familiar with the exam paper & pattern and to enhance the effectiveness of their preparation.

The SNAP 2024 Results will be announced by the exam authorities i.e., SIU - Symbiosis International (Deemed) University. The exam results for all 3 sessions will be announced on 8^th January 2025. As the SNAP 2024 exam results will be live only till 10^th February 2025, the candidates who have appeared for the exam must check and download their score card before the deadline.

To download the results of SNAP, students must visit the official website ‘snaptest.org’ and look for the SNAP Scorecard option. Then, the students need to enter their login credentials i.e., ID and password to successfully download their score card / result of SNAP 2024 exam. The candidates are advised to save the scorecard and take a printout of the same for future reference.

Once the exam is conducted and the results are out, the SNAP 2024 cutoff lists will be released by the Symbiosis Institutes. All the Institutes of Symbiosis which are accepting admissions through SNAP 2024 will announce their cut-offs individually for each MBA program offered.

The cut-off lists include the minimum marks / percentile the candidates must score to get admission into a particular MBA program in a Symbiosis Institute. On the basis of cut-off lists, the candidates will be shortlisted by the Institutes for further process of admission in their MBA courses.  Students need to note that the Cut-off lists will be reflected on the particular official website of the Institutes and it will not be displayed on the SNAP official website.

Once the SNAP results are out, the selection process will begin for candidates who have passed the exam. The participating Institutes will release their cut-off lists individually for admissions in the MBA courses they offer. The candidates who will be eligible according to the cut-offs released by the Institutes will be processed for further admission process.

As a part of the SNAP 2024 Counselling process, the participating Institutes will conduct their Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI) rounds after releasing the cut-off lists. Then, the Institutes will release a Merit list & Wait list on the basis of results of the conducted GE-PI rounds. The lists will be released on the official website of the particular Symbiosis Institutes. Students must know that the Wait list gets cleared on the basis of vacant seats Institutes have in their MBA courses.

The final admissions will be based on the particular eligibility conditions of the Institutes for separate MBA programs, the verification of documents, and the submission of program fees before the due date.
