SET Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme, Exam Day Requirements & Total Marks

The Symbiosis Entrance Test is conducted once a year in 2 sessions in Online CBT mode i.e., Computer Based Test, as per the SET exam pattern 2025. The exam duration is 1 hour with a total of 60 objective type questions in the test paper. The exam conducting body i.e., Symbiosis International University (SIU) designs the SET Exam Pattern.

Based on the SET exam pattern, the question paper will consist of 4 sections with a maximum of 60 marks. The weightage of marks of every question is the same in the entire paper. The SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test) will be conducted online in the English language / medium only for admission into professional UG courses in Management, Economics, Mass Communication, Information Technology, Media Management, Applied Statistics and Data Sciences.

The SET Exam 2025 pattern contains 4 sections / parts which are General English, Quantitative, General Awareness, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.

Students need to know the total number of questions included in each section with their respective marks in order to be familiar with the exam format. Moreover, it is to be noted that all the sections included in the examination are mandatory and no part of the paper is optional.

The Symbiosis SET Exam 2025 marking criteria is formulated by the conducting body i.e., SIU to evaluate the overall performance of students. Below-mentioned is the SET Exam marking scheme on the basis of which students’ performance will be analysed in the test:

• 1 mark will be awarded for choosing each right answer.
• Also, there will be no negative marking for attempting wrong options.

While filling the registration form, applicants selecting DAC (Differently Abled Category) / PwD can avail the following facilities, in accordance with the SET 2025 exam pattern:

Scribe / Writer

To avail the scribe  / writer facility, aspirants of SET have to send a request letter on or before 12^th April 2025 through an E-Mail to “[email protected]”.

It is to be noted that the DAC candidates have to arrange their own scribe / writer as per their choice. The exam authority will not be responsible to arrange the scribe for the candidates. Moreover, the maximum educational qualification of a scribe must be completed 9^th standard or appearing in 10^th standard.

Compensatory Time

The DAC candidates get the compensatory time of 20 minutes in each session, which means the total exam time for such students is 1 Hour and 20 Minutes.

The SET Exam Syllabus 2025 comprises the topics of the 4 major sections that are General English, Quantitative, General Awareness, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning.
