OJEE Eligibility Criteria 2025: Check Nationality, Age Limit, Aggregate Score & Qualifications

To appear for the examination, candidates must meet the eligibility which is specified by OJEEB i.e., the exam conducting body. The OJEE eligibility criteria 2025 comprises the necessary requirements students need to fulfil to apply for the examination.

To appear in the OJEE entrance examination, students have to select the appropriate course as per their choice and must fulfil the eligibility requirements specific to the course they are applying for.

The below-given table comprises courses for which OJEE is conducted along with their respective  eligibility criteria:

*Candidates appearing in the above-mentioned qualifying exams for all the courses are also eligible.

*Once the candidates have fulfilled the eligibility for the OJEE exam, they can start their preparation for OJEE exam. For preparation, students can rely on the OJEE syllabus 2025.

The OJEE board has prescribed the reservation criteria for different categories. The Reservation is applicable only to natives of Odisha state and to avail the benefit, they must submit Resident/ Nativity certificate from competent authorities of Odisha State during document verification. It is applicable to candidates including SC / ST / GC /PC / Ex-Servicemen /SGS /TFWs / EWS / reservation under women quota.

Before applying for OJEE 2025, candidates can take a look at the reservation criteria of the examination mentioned below:

• 8% seats are reserved for SC and 12% for ST candidates in all colleges.
• 5% seats belong to Green Card Holders for admission into courses like B.Pharm / Integrated MBA / MBA / MCA.
• 3% reservation in B.CAT courses in engineering colleges is available for wards of ex-servicemen of Odisha State.
• 30% seats for women belonging to all categories except Outside State (ZZ) / Non-resident Indians (NRI) / OL / TFW in courses like MBA, MCA, Integrated MBA and B.CAT.
• 5% for supernumerary seats for admission under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme for B. Pharm, MBA, MCA and Lateral Entry courses.

*The candidates of Odisha State who want to avail Women Quota must have Nativity Certificate otherwise they will be considered under unreserved category.

Reservation for Physically Challenged Category

The PwD candidates are eligible for reservation under the Physically Challenged (PC) category with minimum 40% and more disability in accordance with section-39 of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995.

5% seats are reserved for PwD candidates for admission into MBA/ MCA/ B. Pharm/ Integrated MBA/ M.Tech/ M.Pharm/ M.Plan/ B.CAT courses.

*To avail the reservation, it is mandatory for all the PwD candidates to be present at the Medical Board on the specified date which will be informed before counselling.

Eligibility for Odisha State Category (S-Category) Candidates to Avail Reservation

To avail the reservation, the candidate needs to satisfy any one of the below given 3 criteria:

• Criteria 1 - To get admission into UG courses, the candidate must have qualified 12^th from any recognized institute in Odisha. For admission into PG courses, the candidate must have qualified +3 Science / B.Sc. / BCA / B.Pharm.
• Criteria 2 - Parents of the candidate should be natives of Odisha to avail the reservation; candidate must have the “resident/ nativity certificate” from Revenue Officer at least the rank of Tehsildar of the area to which the candidate’s parents belong.
• Criteria 3 - Sons/ daughters/ spouse of employees of Government of Odisha/ Government of India / Government of Odisha Undertakings / Government of India undertakings, serving in Odisha at the time of registration to avail the reservation (candidate needs to submit a certificate during verification)

Reserved Seats For NRI students

NRI candidates include the Wards (Sons / Daughters) of Indian Citizens residing outside the country, holding an Indian Passport.

For NRI candidates, the reserved seats will be available as per the provisions of OPEI (RA & FF) Act 2007 and subject to the approval of AICTE.

If the NRI candidates become unavailable, their quota seats will get transferred to general category candidates according to their merit.

Special Points to Consider About Reservation:

• Odisha State Candidate (S-Category) will be eligible for Government and Private Colleges for lateral entry courses on the basis of their rank in merit list.
• Outside state candidates are not eligible to get admission to the Government Colleges for MBA / MCA / M.Sc. / B.Pharm / B.CAT or other lateral entry courses. They will be considered only to get admission in private colleges in B.Pharm, Lateral entry B.Pharm, MBA, Integrated MBA, and MCA courses.
• The seats for General Category will be calculated after deducting the applicable quota seats percentage for SC, ST, PC, EWS, etc. categories under all India Quota.
• No reservation for any course under lateral entry scheme except for PwD candidates.
