NIFT Registration 2025 (Closed): How to Fill Application Form, Fees, Last Date, Documents

The exam conducting body i.e., National Testing Agency (NTA) has closed the NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 application form correction window on 16th January 2025.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) i.e., the exam conducting body has closed the NIFT Entrance Exam registration 2025 window without late fees on 6th January 2025 and with late fees on 9th January 2025.

Applicants will have to pay an amount of Rs. 3000/- for a single program and Rs. 4500/- for selecting 2 programs as fee for NIFT entrance exam 2025. The fee will be accepted through online modes only. The NIFT exam for all UG / PG (Regular & NLEA) programs is scheduled on the 9th February 2025.

The NTA accepts the online application for National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination for admission into UG, PG and Ph.D programs offered by NIFT and other participating Institutes. The notification regarding exam registration and other aspects is released on the official website i.e., “exams.nta.ac.in”.

Applicants will have to pay the fees of NIFT entrance exam registration 2025, through any one of the online payment modes listed below:

• Debit Card
• Credit Card
• Internet Banking
• UPI

Aspirants will have to pay the fees while filling-in the NIFT Entrance Exam Application Form 2025. Refer to the below-mentioned table to know the course & category wise fee structure of the NIFT 2025:

* Candidates will have to pay the service charges of the concerned Bank / Payment Gateway.

Note: Foreign Nationals / NRI / OCI / PIO / SAARC candidates applying for UG / PG programs will have to pay $125 as an application fee for the NIFT entrance exam.

Candidates can register and fill the application form for NIFT Exam 2025 through online mode only. Students can submit the online application form via the official website i.e., “exams.nta.ac.in”

Follow the below-mentioned steps for registration and application of the NIFT 2025 Entrance exam:

Step 1: Registration

• Visit the official website “exams.nta.ac.in”.
• On the home page, go to the “Apply For” tab and click on it.
• Tap the “Click Here” link to Apply for NIFTEE – 2025 (UG and PG Programmes); a new page will appear on the screen.
• Click the “New Candidate Register for UG and PG” link to register as a new applicant. It will get redirected to a new page of  ‘Instructions and Procedure for online submission of Application Form’.
• Read all the instructions / procedure carefully along with downloading the information bulletin through the given link.
• Afterwards, select the ‘confirmation checkbox’ and press the “Click here to proceed” button.
• The page will redirect to the “Login Identification for online submission of Application Form”. Click on any of the circles and provide the respective identity proof (Aadhaar Number / Digilocker / ABC ID / Passport / PAN Card / other government ID) that will be used for verification or authentication purposes.
• After providing any one of the ID proofs, students will receive an OTP on the respective registered ID. Enter the OTP and the auto generated application number will be sent to the candidate.

* Already registered candidates can skip the above step and directly start with Step-2 for filling-in the application form.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form & Upload Documents

• Visit the website “nift2025.ntaonline.in”.
• The registered candidates need to Log in with their Application Number and enter the Password on the screen.
• Enter the security pin and tap the “Login’ button.
• Afterwards, complete the NIFT 2025 Entrance Exam Application Form by entering required Personal Details and Educational Qualifications.
• Uploading the scanned images of the asked documents in the prescribed format.

Step 3: Pay the Fees and Print the Application Form

• Students have to pay the specified application fees online by selecting any one of the given modes.
• After successful payment of fees, applicants can download the confirmation page and take a print out of the same.

In case, students forget their application number / password, they can retrieve it by following the below-mentioned processes.

Application Number

Follow the below-mention steps to recover the application number:

• Visit the official website “nift2025.ntaonline.in”.
• Click the “Forgot Application Number” option and it will open a request for the application number page on the screen.
• Enter the details including Candidate’s Name, Email Address, Mobile Number, and Security Pin.
• Click the “Submit” button to receive the notification regarding application number on the registered Email ID / Mobile Number.

Password

Refer to the below-stated steps to retrieve the forgotten password:

• Navigate the official website “nift2025.ntaonline.in”.
• Click the “Forgot Password” link and a page will appear for password reset.
• Select the password reset option, either recover it via security question or by the link sent to the registered email.
• Enter the asked detail and click on the “Submit” button to successfully retrieve the password.

Students can refer the following table to get the details of the documents required while filling-in the application form:

• Candidate’s Passport size Photograph
• Signature
• Category Certificate for SC / ST / OBC / EWS  (as applicable)
• PwD Certificate (if applicable)

Students need to upload the scanned images of the documents in the online filled application form. Here are some instructions prescribed by the exam conducting body which need to be followed while uploading the documents:

Photograph

Following are the guidelines that students should follow while uploading the photograph:

• The passport size photograph must be recent and in either black / white in color (with clear contrast).
• The photo must be without goggles, cap, or any mask and covering 80% of the face including both the ears against white background. Only spectacles are allowed if being used regularly.
• Polaroid, computer generated and unclear photos are not acceptable. Fabricated photos i.e., deshaped or hand made / computer made will be rejected.

Signature

Read the below-given instructions that students must consider while uploading the signature in the application form:

• The signature must be on white paper with a blue / black ink pen.
• Students should upload the full signature in running hand writing in the application form.
• Signatures with Full Name in capital letters will not be accepted.

Apart from the above given instruction,  following are the common instructions for uploading the documents:

• The scanned images of photograph and signature must be uploaded in JPG format only.
• All the uploaded images must be clear and in proper format.
• Unsigned application forms without photographs will be rejected.
• The Category certificate, Result Awaited Attestation Form, PwD Certificate & UDID (Unique Disability Identity) card and all other certificates should be uploaded in PDF format only.

Instructions for File Size of the Documents

Students will have to upload the following documents as per the specified file size that is mentioned in the table-stated below:

The aspirants are required to consider the below-mentioned points related to the NIFT Entrance Exam Registration 2025:

• Students have to submit only one application; more than one application submitted by them will get rejected.
• Candidates must submit a valid mobile number and registered email address in the application form to receive the relevant notification / important information from NTA.
• While filling-in the application form, students have to set the password and choose a security question. The students are required to remember the system generated application number and their respective password for subsequent future logins.
• Without the payment of application fees, the form submission will remain incomplete and in such cases, the form will get rejected without any correspondence.
• Once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded under any circumstances. Also no further request will be entertained once the fee is submitted by the candidate.
• The confirmation page of the application form will appear only after the successful fee payment. If the confirmation page will not get automated after the fee payment, then the transaction will be automatically cancelled and the candidate needs to approach the respective bank / payment gateway for a refund of the deducted amount.
• If the transaction is not shown on the portal or incomplete then the student may pay the fee again and ensure ‘OK’ status. In case of the duplicate payment (in the same payment mode), the fee which is deducted the second time will be refunded later.
• Students belonging to OBC Creamy Layer are not required to apply under the OBC (NCL) reserved category. They will have to submit their application under the OPEN Category.

Before proceeding to fill the NIFT Application Form 2025, interested candidates must satisfy the eligibility as specified by the authorities. Both Indian and foreign nationals can appear for the NIFT Entrance Exam. Moreover, students who have passed the final qualifying exam in the respective fields are eligible to apply for NIFT 2025.

The age limit and academic qualification for both the Indian and foreign national candidates are different according to the NIFT Eligibility Criteria 2025. There is no upper age limit in PG programs for Indian candidates and Foreign National / NRI / OCI / PIO / SAARC. For UG programs, the age of the candidate must be less than 24 years in the respective academic year whereas, there is no age limit for PG programs.
