The NIFT Entrance Exam 2025 registration window (without late fees) was closed on 6th January 2025 and with late fees, it was closed on 9th January 2025 by the National Testing Agency (NTA) i.e., the exam conducting body.

The NIFT 2025 Entrance Exam will be held on 9th February 2025. The NIFT Entrance Exam is a National Level Exam which is conducted in around 82 cities. The NIFT 2025 will be conducted for admission in various UG, PG, and Ph.D programmes in the discipline of Fashion Design and Technology, offered by the NIFT campuses and many other prestigious Institutes situated in India.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Entrance Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) once a year. The NIFT exam is held for admission in various UG & PG regular courses including B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, MFM, and M.F.Tech, offered by the campuses of National Institute of Fashion Technology and other prominent Institutes located across the nation. Furthermore, this exam is also held for Ph.D and NIFT Lateral Entry Admission (NLEA) in UG Regular courses.

The NIFT 2025 exam will be conducted in 2 tests which are GAT - General Ability Test (CBT mode) and CAT - Creative Ability Test (PBT mode). The mode of the exam will depend on the course in which students are applying for admission in their desired NIFT campus.

In order to start with the NIFT 2025 Registration process, students need to first verify the exam eligibility conditions. The NTA i.e., the test conducting body will start the NIFT 2025 Application Form process from 22^nd November 2024. The last date to complete the application process of the NIFT 2025 exam is 6^th January 2025 without the late fees.

To register online, eligible students need to navigate “exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT” and enter the Email ID & Mobile Number. Once registered, candidates are required to login with the requisite credentials to fill-in the details of the application form. Afterwards, aspirants need to upload the required documents and complete the process by paying the prescribed fee.

In order to get admission in the NIFT campuses, students need to secure an excellent result in the entrance exam which can be done by preparing on the basis of the NIFT 2025 Syllabus. The NIFT exam is divided into 2 tests which are General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT).

The entrance exam will be conducted in 2 papers which are GAT - General Ability Test in CBT mode and CAT - Creative Ability Test in PBT mode, as per the NIFT 2025 Exam Pattern. The mode of the exam may vary on the basis of the course for which students are applying. On the basis of the paper pattern of the NIFT 2025 exam, the GAT exam will be conducted in Hindi and English medium / language.

The Exam Centres are the locations where the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting the NIFT Entrance exam 2025. Students should know that it is compulsory for them to opt for 4 cities (test centres), as per their preference, during the application process.

Students remain confused about what they need to do or avoid on the test day, so, to clear that confusion, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has set some guidelines / instructions which are as follows:

• The reporting time at the test centre is 1 hour (60 minutes) before the starting time of the exam. Students who arrive after the prescribed time will not get entry inside the test centre under any circumstances.
• At the test centre, students must arrive with a printed copy of their admit card, 1 passport size photograph, a valid Photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card / PAN Card / Driving License, etc) to appear in the examination.
• Students must not carry any prohibited items inside the examination hall including the mobile phones, calculators, bluetooth connected devices, etc.
• If the authorities find any students who have exchanged their allotted seat / hall number by themselves, in such cases, their candidature will be cancelled.
• Students are required to complete all the rough work only on the sheet provided by the invigilator inside the exam hall. In addition to this, they need to submit it to the examiner before leaving the test hall.
• Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall until the entrance test gets over.
