NEET Registration 2025: How to Fill Application Form, Fees, Last Date, Documents

The NEET UG registration 2025 is expected to be started by the 2^nd Week of February 2025. The NEET registration last date is predicted to be in the 2^nd Week of March 2025. To register and apply, candidates have to complete the registration process and fill the online application form before the NEET application form last date. NEET is an all India level examination conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS and other UG medical courses offered by Medical Colleges & Universities in India.

Read this article to know the NEET UG 2025 registration details including tentative exam schedule, application process, required documents, instruction to upload the necessary documents, and other important information regarding NEET application form 2025.

NEET is an offline pen and paper-based test but the registration and application of entrance test need to be done only through online mode. Applicants are suggested to visit the official website i.e., “exams.nta.ac.in/NEET” once the conducting body starts the registration for NEET 2025.

To pay the examination fee, candidates have to choose any one of the below-given modes:

• Debit / Credit Card
• Net Banking
• UPI

The following table comprises details about fee which needs to be paid at the time of application form submission:

* Processing Charges and GST in regards with the fees have to be paid by the candidate (as applicable).

* State-listed OBC-NCL candidates who do not come under OBC-NCL (Central List) have to opt for the General category.

Before beginning with the registration, candidates must check the NEET eligibility criteria 2025 so that they know the minimum requirements they need to fulfil in order to appear for the entrance test.

Candidates need to follow the below-given steps for NEET UG registration 2025:

Step 1: Visit the official website “neet.nta.nic.in”.

Step 2: Go to the new candidate registration tab, then read the instructions and press the ‘click here to proceed’ button.

Step 3: Select the circle of an Identity type from options such as Aadhaar card / Digilocker ID / Academic Bank of Credits ID / Passport / PAN Card.

Step 4: Enter the ID Number as mentioned in the ID card selected by the candidate and then click on ‘Generate OTP’.

Step 5: Afterwards, enter the received OTP and click on ‘Validate OTP’.

Step 6: A registration page can be seen on the screen where candidates have to fill the below mentioned details:

• Personal Details such as Name of the Candidate, Parent’s Name / Date of Birth, Gender, Identity, Nationality.
• Other Details including Permanent and Present Address, Pin Code, Mobile Number, E-Mail ID.
• Password and Security Pin

Step 7: Click on the ‘Submit’ tab. Then, a submission page with the auto-filled information will appear; candidates have to select the ‘check box’ and click on ‘Submit and Send OTP’.

Step 8: A Confirmation page will appear on the screen; click on ‘Yes’ and enter the OTP that is sent to the registered E-Mail ID with Security pin.

* After completing the above-mentioned steps successfully, a registration number will be sent to the registered E-mail ID which will be required for subsequent login purposes.

Post registration, the candidates can follow the below-given step-by-step process to fill the NEET UG 2025 application form:

Step 1: Log-in with the application number, password and security pin. Then, click on the ‘Complete Application Form’ tab that will be redirected to the auto-filled Contact Detail page.

* The information entered at the time of registration can be changed only before the final submission of the application form (except Mobile Number and E-mail ID)

Step 2: Select the ‘I Agree’ checkbox. Then, click the ‘Save & Next’ button and proceed.

Step 3: Fill-in the following required information:

• Personal Details such as Category, passing or appearing year, place of residence, medium of question paper, and more.
• Exam Centre Details (Any 4 preferred exam centres)
• Academic Qualification Details - 10^th, 11^th and 12^th or equivalent
• Additional Details

* Basic Personal details such as Candidate’s Name, Date of Birth Gender, etc. will be auto-filled after registration.

* Candidates appearing in class 12^th in 2025 have to opt for Code (01) and those who have qualified the final examination have to choose Code from (02 to 07).

Step 4: Click on the ‘Save & Next’ tab. Afterwards, candidates have to upload the documents such as Photograph, Signature, Thumb Impression and other required certificates in prescribed format.

Step 5: Complete the application procedure by paying the required exam fees via any of the online modes including Debit or Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.

Step 6: A confirmation page will appear on the screen after the fee payment; candidates can download the same and take a print out of the confirmation page for future reference.

* After completing the NEET registration 2025, candidates can start the preparation for entrance test on the basis of Syllabus and NEET exam pattern 2025.

The documents mentioned in this section are required at the time of filling the application form. To upload the documents during the application process, candidates have to scan the below given documents in the prescribed format only.

Other Guidelines Regarding Photographs

Along with above instructions, candidate must follow the below given guidelines to upload the Passport size and Postcard size Photograph:

• It should be recently taken on or before 1^st January 2025. The photo must be in white background, with visible 80% of face features including ears.
• The photographs must be uploaded with the candidate's name and date when the photograph is taken.
• Avoid using Cap or Goggles in photographs. Only spectacles are allowed for those using it on a regular basis. Also, Polaroid and Computer-generated photos will not be accepted.

* Both Passport size and Post card size photograph of the candidate must be the same on the application form and on the attendance sheet at the exam centre.

Further Guidelines for Signature and Thumb Impressions

The guidelines to upload signature & thumb impression are as follows:

• The signature must be in continuous flow without any capital letter on white paper with black ink pen.
• The thumb impression must be in accordance with the provided template format only.

The correction window is predicted to be opened by the 2^nd Week of April 2025 by the authorities on the official website i.e., “exams.nta.ac.in/NEET”.

Candidates can make some necessary changes in their application form before appearing for the final exam. All the mandatory changes need to be done at the time of the correction window. No correction request will be accepted once the correction window will get closed.

Below-given are some important notes to be remembered while applying for NEET exam:

• Candidates can submit only one application at a time for the NEET-UG exam.
• Application of the candidate will get rejected if it is found without photographs, unsigned and with unclear thumb impression of Left and Right Hand.
• In case of fabricated photo (i.e., De-shaped, Computer generated or Handmade) the candidate will get rejected. Also uploading some other person’s photo and signature will lead to the cancellation of the candidature. All such cases will be considered as Unfair Means.
