NCHMCT JEE Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme, Exam Day Requirements & Total Marks

The NCHMCT JEE will be held online for a duration of 180 minutes via Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. As per the NCHMCT JEE Exam Pattern 2025, there will be 5 sections in the question paper namely, Numerical Ability & Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language, and Aptitude for Service Sector.

A total of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked in the NCHM JEE exam 2025. The test will be for 800 total marks wherein 4 marks will be allotted to students for their every right answer & -1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer, respectively.

There are 5 sections in the entrance exam paper that have to be solved within a total time limit of 180 minutes. Aspirants should be aware that their performance in the test will be analysed on the NCHMCT JEE marking scheme set by the conducting authority. Based on the NCHMCT JEE Exam Pattern 2025, the marking pattern is as follows:

• For every correct response, students will be awarded 4 marks.
• For each of the incorrect responses, -1 mark negative marking will be done.

For un-attempted / un-answered questions, no marks will be deducted.

Aspirants should be knowing the below-mentioned essential points about the NCHMCT JEE Exam Pattern 2025:

• While filling in the application form, students are supposed to opt for the medium / language of the question paper that they wish to take the NCHM JEE exam in. The exam medium once chosen cannot be changed.
• If there are any confusions in understanding the question / translation, in such a case, the English version of that question & the decision of NTA will be treated as final.
• In case the question is found to be incorrect / all the response options for a particular question are not correct, such questions will be dropped. Under these circumstances, the total number of questions will be reduced and the marks of students will be calculated on the basis of the remaining correct questions.
• While attempting the NCHMCT JEE 2025 exam, students can change the response of any previously saved answer till the exam gets over.

The PwD students can avail the scribe facilities during their online registration. Information regarding the scribe facilities & other provisions are given below in detail:

Scribe

According to the NCHMCT JEE Exam Pattern 2025, candidates who have one of the benchmark disabilities [as defined in Section 2(r) of RPwD Act, 2016] & a Disability Certificate in the prescribed format are eligible for availing scribe facilities on the basis of the conditions given below:

• Applicants having benchmark disability in categories such as blindness, cerebral palsy, and loco motor disability (both arms affected-BA) are entitled for scribe facilities.
• Students who have a less than 40% disability / physical limitation can avail scribe facility for writing the entrance test on their behalf. For such provision, they must have produced a Certificate by the Medical Superintendent / CMO / Civil Surgeon of a Government Health Care Institution.
• As per the office memorandum of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, candidates who have lost fingers or hands / visual impairment / disabled in the upper limbs / dyslexia (severe), and cannot operate the Computer Based Test platform properly are eligible for availing the provision of amanuensis (scribe).

Compensatory Time

Details regarding the compensatory time provided to the PwD applicants are as follows:

• In accordance with the NCHMCT JEE pattern 2025, the PwD students will be given a compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour i.e., for a 3 hour exam, a total of 60 minutes compensatory time will be given.
• Compensatory time will be given to all the PwD students whether or not they have availed scribe facilities.

Special Notes Regarding PwD Facilities

Students are required to know some below-discussed special points regarding the PwD facilities as per the NCHMCT JEE paper pattern 2025:

• Candidates are allowed to bring their own scribe if they want to or else, the exam conducting authority will arrange a scribe for the students who have opted for the same.
• Scribes are only permitted to be of service to the students in reading the questions &  or keying the answers that have been directed by the appearing PwD candidate.
• The scribes present in the NCHMCT JEE exam hall are constrained from explaining the questions / indicating solutions to the applicants.
• In case a candidate is found to have availed the provision of scribe / compensatory time without being eligible for such provisions then, their admission shall be cancelled.
