* Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign Nationals can not appear in the exam as they are exempted.

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2025: Candidature Type

Maharashtra State Candidature: Students can opt for only one from the Maharashtra State Candidature Type which are mentioned below along with their eligibility criteria:

- Students qualifying SSC & Class 12th from any recognised institute in Maharashtra state.
- Must be a Domicile / Resident of Maharashtra state / Born in the same state.

|
- Students who do not fit into the Type A, but their father / mother is a resident of Maharashtra and have a Domicile Certificate.
|
|
C
|
- Applicants who are not eligible for any of the above-given types, but their parent (either father or mother) is a Government of India (GOI) or GOI undertaking employee.
* Before the application form deadline for CAP, the parent should have been posted and reported to their duty in Maharashtra.

D
|
- Students who do not satisfy the eligibility criteria of any of the above-mentioned types (A, B, C), but his / her parent (mother / father) is currently working or retired employee of Government of Maharashtra or Undertaking employee of Maharashtra Government.

E
|
- Aspirants passing SSC and 10 + 2 exam from any recognised institute situated in a Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.
* The 865 village of Maharashtra Karnataka Border area notified by the State Government for this purpose shall be considered.

All India Candidature: Students who are Indian Citizens are considered eligible.
Minority Candidature: To be eligible for the exam under this category, aspirants should belong to a specific Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from Maharashtra and as notified by the government.
Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign Nationals: Candidates belonging to this category are exempted to appear for the exam.
MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2025: Course-Wise

- Class 12th or its equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject / Computer Science / Information Technology / Informatics Practices / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies.
- Diploma in Engineering and Technology.

- Valid MHT CET / NEET Score.
- Passed 10 + 2 / equivalent with PCM / PCB and secured minimum 45% marks.

Passed any one from below-states qualifications with minimum 50% marks:
- Class 12th or its equivalent with PCM / PCB.
- Diploma in Pharmacy from an institute affiliated to the State Board and having approval of competent Central authority and State Government.

Special Notes to Consider:
- Candidates should have an Indian Nationality in order to apply for all the above-mentioned courses including B.E / B.Tech, B.Pharm, and Pharm.D.
- Students belonging to Maharashtra & Minority candidature must have valid MHT CET score.
- 5% relaxation in qualifying examination required marks to backward class category, economically weaker section, and persons with disability (PwD) candidates of Maharashtra state.
For Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign Nationals: For such candidates, the eligibility criteria for all the courses are the same as for All India Candidates except for B.E / B.Tech and B.Plan courses. However, students need to pass following eligibility criteria to get admission in first year of Engineering and Planning course:
- Class 12th or any other equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject / Computer Science / Information Technology / Informatics Practices / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies and secured at least 50% marks.
* Any other criteria updated by the respective authorities as defined will also be applicable to the candidates belonging to this particular category.
