JENPAS UG Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme, Exam Day Requirements & Total Marks

The JENPAS UG exam pattern 2025 prescribed by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) states that the entrance test will be conducted in offline Pen & Paper-based mode on an OMR sheet. The test period will be of 90 minutes for each Paper-I and Paper-II.

The question paper of the JENPAS UG 2025 will comprise 100 Multiple Choice Questions for a total of 115 marks. The medium of the exam will be English & Bengali except for the English, Reasoning, and General Knowledge sections. The questions of the Category-1 will be of 1 mark each wherein -0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. For the Category-2, each question will carry 2 marks & no negative marking will be done.

According to the JENPAS UG exam 2025 pattern, there will be 2 categories of questions in the entrance test paper namely, Category-1, and Category-2. JENPAS (UG) Paper-I

Paper-I of the JENPAS UG will be conducted for a period of 90 minutes. Students will have to attempt a total of 100 questions for 115 marks. The detailed description for the same is given below:

JENPAS (UG) Paper-II

Only the students who have applied for the Bachelor in Hospital Administration (BHA) course have to appear for the Paper-II of the JENPAS UG 2025.  The Category-wise distribution of questions and marks are mentioned below:

The JENPAS UG marking scheme decided by the conducting authority is the basis through which the results of the candidates are calculated. Below-given is the marking pattern in accordance to the JENPAS UG exam pattern 2025:

For Category-1

The marking scheme for the Category-1 questions is as follows:

• For every correct response, 1 mark will be allotted.
• -0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect / multiple response to a single question.

For Category-2

Students can go through the below-stated marking pattern of the questions of the Category-2:

• For each of the right answers, 2 marks will be awarded.
• There will be no negative marking for the wrong / multiple answers to a single question.
• For partially correct answers, which means when all the correct options are not marked and no wrong answers are marked, then in such a case, marks will be awarded using the following formula: 2 x (Number of Correct Options Marked) / (Total Number of Actually Correct Options).

Note: For each of the categories, there will be no deduction in marks for the un-attempted questions.

Students must be thorough with the JENPAS UG Syllabus 2025 of the respective papers so that they can prepare well for the entrance test and score the desired marks.
