INI CET Exam Pattern 2025: Marking Scheme, Exam Day Requirements & Total Marks

Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test is conducted in online mode as per the INI CET exam pattern 2025. AIIMS i.e., the exam conducting body, has stated that the test will be conducted in English language / medium only. The INI CET July 2025 session question paper encompasses a total of 200 objective type questions. Candidates have to attempt all the questions within 3 hours. Aspirants of July 2025 session of the INI CET must go through the detailed exam pattern to secure good marks in the test.

According to the INI CET paper pattern 2025, the exam will be conducted as a computer-based test including single correct choice & multiple correct choice questions. The INI CET exam paper for the July session will be divided into 4 sections / parts. All 200 questions will be of one mark each, making a total of 200 Marks in the exam paper of INI CET.

According to the INI CET 2025 exam pattern, the question paper is divided into 4 different parts / sections. Each part consists of 50 questions; candidates have to attempt all questions of 4 parts within the time limit of overall 3 hours.

Special Points to Consider:

Below-mentioned are some special notes about which candidates need to be aware of related to the INI CET Exam Pattern 2025:

• Each part of the question paper has a duration of 45 minutes. Only one part will be visible at a given duration. Once the given time is over, candidates will not be able see or edit the selected answers of the previous part.
• Candidates are suggested to attempt all the questions in the allotted time.
• The exam will be submitted automatically after 180 minutes.

As per the INI CET marking scheme, following is the criteria to evaluate the performance of the candidates:

• 1 mark is awarded for each correct response in all 4 sections.
• Negative marking of -1/3 is applicable for every incorrect answer.
• There will be no negative marking for unanswered / unattempted questions.

The exam authority has provided some facilities for special category candidates i.e., PwBD. Candidates can refer to the following to get the details for the same:

Scribe Facility

As per the section 2 (r) RPwD Act, 2016, the PwBD candidates with more than 40% disability in the category of blindness, locomotor disability (both arms affected) and cerebral palsy can opt for the scribe facility.

Below given is the necessary information regarding the scribe facility for PwBD students:

• PwBD candidates must specify their choice (to avail the scribe facility) at the time of completion of application form for INI CET July 2025.
• The candidates can choose their own scribe or can avail the same from the exam conducting body i.e., AIIMS. It is to be noted that the exam conducting authority will not arrange a new scribe if the scribe brought by the PwBD candidate will be absent on the day of examination.
• The qualification of scribe must be lower than the academic qualification of the PwBD candidate (below MBBS / any other equivalent medical degree) appearing for INI CET July 2025. Although, the scribe must have been matriculated.
• The PwBD candidate opting for scribe facility has to take the whole responsibility of reimbursement (payment) of the scribe; the exam authorities will not be responsible for the same.
• The scribe can assist the PwBD candidates only in mouse clicks, reading instructions and the test paper. Interpretation and Explanation of the exam paper will be not acceptable and their candidature will get cancelled for the same.

Compensatory Time

The candidates with disabilities specified in the above mentioned PwBD Act will be eligible for the compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour in the INI CET 2025 July examination.

Rules of Scribe / Compensatory Time

The rules pertaining to Scribe facility and Compensatory time are given below:

• If the candidate belongs to any other categories of PwBD (apart from what is specified by the authorities), then in order to avail the scribe facility and compensatory time, they have to submit a certificate to prove their physical limitation and the necessity of the special facilities.
• The certificate must be issued in the prescribed format by the Chief Medical Officer / Civil Surgeon / Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institute.

* The PwBD candidates with less than 40% disability and having difficulty in writing as per the section 2 (s) RPwD Act, 2016 that are not covered in the section 2 (r) RPwD Act, 2016, have to produce the same certificates to avail the scribe facility and compensatory time.
