GUJCET Syllabus 2025: Check Subject Wise Topics and Weightage

The GUJCET Syllabus 2025 includes topics of different subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology that will be based on the level of class 12^th science stream of Gujarat State Board. All the topics that are mentioned in the GUJCET 2025 syllabus are on the basis of the NCERT textbooks of science stream.

Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is a state-level exam that is conducted once in a year for admission into Degree courses in Engineering and Pharmacy. The syllabus will be prescribed by the exam authority i.e., Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. The GSEB has released the official notification related to the GUJCET 2025 exam syllabus on the official website.

As per the sections of the test paper, following are the 3 subjects included in GUJCET exam syllabus 2025:

• Mathematics / Biology

With reference to the subjects included in the GUJCET syllabus, there will be a total of 3 sections in the question paper which are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics / Biology.

Students have to prepare as per the course they are applying for through the GUJCET 2025. For Engineering courses, the topics will be from PCM subjects and for Pharmacy courses, the topics from PCB subjects need to be studied. The syllabus of each subject is discussed in detail in this section.

The mathematics subject covers the following chapters on the basis of which questions will be covered in this section of the GUJECT 2025:

Aspirants who are preparing on the basis of syllabus can go through the GUJCET Exam Pattern 2025 to get the understanding of the nature and structure of the exam. The GUJCET will be conducted in offline Pen and Paper based Test mode in English, Hindi and Gujarati language / medium for the duration of 3 hours.

As per the exam pattern, the time frame is divided on the basis of the subjects / sections i.e., 120 Minutes for Physics and Chemistry and 60 Minutes for attempting Mathematics / Biology. There will be a total of 120 MCQ based questions in 3 sections of the question paper i.e., 40 questions in each of the sections / subject. The paper selected by the student is divided on the basis of Engineering and Pharmacy courses i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2.

In the GUJCET 2025 exam, Paper 1 will be similar for both the courses but in Paper 2, students can choose the subjects as per their preference i.e., Mathematics for Engineering / Biology for Pharmacy course. Also, as per the marking scheme, one mark will be awarded for each correct answer and for selecting each wrong answer, negative marking of -0.25 marks per question will be applicable.
