The updated GMAT Exam Pattern 2025 of the GMAT 11th Edition states that the test is conducted in two modes which are Remote Proctored Online Test and Centre-Based Online Test. The exam includes 3 sections which are Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, & Data Insights. Previously, there used to be 4 sections in the exam pattern (the additional section was Analytical Writing Assessment). In the latest exam pattern, there will be a total 64 questions asked in the exam paper in a total duration of 135 minutes (45 minutes for each section).

The GMAT marking scheme of the latest Focus Edition is updated. If the students fail to complete a particular section within 45 minutes; score penalty will be applicable for leaving the questions unanswered.

GMAT Exam Pattern 2025 states that the eligible PwD applicants will be provided with various provisions of accommodation as per the norms of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) based on their nature of disability. The exam pattern of the GMAT exam is designed by its conducting body GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council).
The GMAT Sectional Score is calculated based on the number of questions students have answered, whether the answers are correct or not, and the difficulty level & other criteria.
Yes, candidates have the provision of choosing the Section of GMAT paper that they wish to attempt first.
At the end of each section of the GMAT exam, students will be allowed to review as many questions they wish to and edit any 3 answers in each section.
Candidates will be given a fixed time of 45 minutes for attempting each section of the GMAT test, after which the test screen will be redirected to the Optional Break Screen / Next Section.
As per the GMAT 2025 pattern, there will be 21 questions in the Quantitative Reasoning section, 23 in the Verbal Reasoning and 20 in Data Insights section, respectively.
