Candidates must have passed the respective academic qualification as per the AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2025, with the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur (conducting body) for different categories. Academic Qualifications
Aspirants must fulfil the below-stated academic requirements for taking the AP LAWCET exam:
- For 3-year LL.B Program: Completed Graduation (10+2+3 pattern) / equivalent from a recognised University.
- For 5-year LL.B Program: Passed 2-year Intermediate exam (10+2 pattern) / Polytechnic Diploma / equivalent recognised by the University or the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.
*Candidates who have done ITI will not be allowed to take the AP LAWCET 2025.
Qualifying Marks
In accordance with the AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2025, candidates must have secured at least 45% aggregate marks (42% for BC category & 40% for the ST / SC candidate) in the qualifying examination.
*For 3-year LL.B program, if candidates have scored less than the prescribed aggregate marks, i.e., 45% / 42% / 40%, then they must have obtained the same aggregate marks or more in any other additional Graduation / Postgraduation courses.
Age Limit
The conducting body has not prescribed any minimum or upper age limit for the students to appear for the AP LAWCET 2025 examination.
Nationality
Based on the AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2025, candidates willing to take the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test must have Indian citizenship. Additionally, they should fulfil the requirements of the Local / Non-Local status that is laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 & amendments made.
Number of Attempts
The conducting body has not prescribed any limit for the number of times students can attempt the exam of AP LAWCET 2025.
Students who could not qualify the test or did not get admission in the desired College / Institute / University in the last attempt can do the AP LAWCET registration 2025 again (when the exam gets conducted) and appear for the test if they fulfil the AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2025.

There are certain points about the AP LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2025 that the students must be aware about, which are discussed below:
- For the 3-year LL.B program & the 5-year Integrated courses in Law, if the applicants have secured 44.5% aggregate marks (41.5% for BC, and 39.5% for the SC / ST category) instead of the minimum prescribed qualifying marks, then their percentage will be rounded off & they will be considered as eligible for the AP LAWCET.
- Aspirants who are appearing in the final year exam of Intermediate / Graduation can apply and begin their preparation for AP LAWCET exam. However, they must have passed the exam by the time of the counseling process.
- Candidates who have completed 12th standard / Graduation / Postgraduation directly through a single sitting system without having any basic qualification will not be considered eligible for taking admission in the law programs.
- Additionally, students are required to fulfil the specific eligibility requirements including age criteria set by the desired College / Institute / University at the time of admission.
- The CET (Common Entrance Test) Committee or / & the Convener of the AP LAWCET 2025 exam has the right to disqualify the application of candidates at any stage if they fail to fulfil the AP LAWCET exam eligibility criteria or have given false / incorrect information about themselves.
