The history of the Cotton University Guwahati dates back to 1901, when the university was established as Cotton College. Later in 2011, the Cotton College State University was established following the act passed in the Assam Legislature, with the Cotton College as a constituent. The Cotton College State University and Cotton College were amalgamated in 2017. The university was declared a State University by UGC.

Doon University is situated in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, and it started its first academic sessions back in the year 2009. It was founded by the State Government of Uttarakhand and is recognized by the UG Council, and is one of the top educational institutions in Uttarakhand. Came into existence in 2009, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University was formerly known as Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University. It was renamed as KMCLU in the year 2020. This university is approved by UGC and ACITE, and it is accredited by NAAC.

This university offers UG, PG, and Diploma courses to students in programs like Home Science, Zoology, French, Sanskrit, Fine Arts, German, Japanese, Chinese, Finance & Accounts, Travel & Tourism Management, etc.

The year 2005 marked the establishment year of William Carey University as a State Private University with the approval of the UGC. It has accreditation from the PCI to offer Pharmaceutical courses. It also has a membership of AIU.

NIILM University is situated in Kaithal, Haryana, and was established back in the year 2012. NIILM is one of the best private universities in Haryana. NIILM is approved by the UG Council. And the law courses of the institute are approved by the BCI.

The university has gained approval from various boards and bodies for various courses. BMU is recognized by the AICTE and UGC. And the law courses at the university are approved by the BCI. The pharmacy and nursing courses at the university are approved by the PCI and INC respectively. And the Ayurveda courses at the university are approved by the CCIM. And the courses in education are approved by the NCTE, respectively.

Auro University was incepted in 2011 as per Gujarat Act No. 25. Auro University Surat has one of the best infrastructures as it is constructed by none other than JHM group of hotels. St. Joseph's College of Pharmacy was established in 2002. It is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The college is recognised by PCI and is approved by AICTE.

IHM Lucknow - the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering & Nutrition started operations in 1969 and was named as IHM in 1980. It is an autonomous body, recognised by the National Council of Hotel management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). The Institute is approved by AICTE and UGC.

Rakshpal Bahadur College of Pharmacy started operations in 2004. The college is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). It is recognised by the Board of Technical Education (BTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Moreover, the Institute is AICTE approved.

Maharaja Surajmal Brij University (formerly known as Brij University), was established by the Government of Rajasthan in 2012. It is a member of AIU-Association of Indian Universities and recognised by UGC.

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj University was established in the year 2018. So, it’s safe to say that it’s still a relatively new university. The University’s president is Dr. Keshav Badaya. CSMU Panvel offers around 40+ courses, so almost all the courses are under their belt. The Chhatrapati Shivaji University is located in the new educational hub of the state as Navi Mumbai has become as big as Mumbai or Pune in terms of education. The lush green, sprawling campus is located in Panvel. The university has six colleges under its belt and they are Facilty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Arts, Humanities, & Communication, and Faculties of Commerce, Management, & Hospitality. The university offers a state-of-the-art infrastructure that has independent administration & academic block, laboratories, hostels, play ground etc.

One thing for which, the university has always raised their voice is bullying and therefore, the university has set-up the Anti-Ragging committee that prevents bullying of students of any kind. The Committee makes sure that both genders feel safe inside the campus. Mental health has been a subject talked about since the outbreak of Covid-19 and the university has addressed that by inviting experts and making students aware about it so that anyone suffering from it comes forward and don’t feel shy about it.
