Thiagarajar College was established in the year 1949 by Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar. The college is affiliated with the Madurai Kamaraj University. Kalaithanthai Karumuttu Thiagarajan Chettiar Memorial Trust is the one managing the college. SS Jain Subodh PG College is ranked 81st by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Government of India in the year 2021. SS Jain Subodh PG College offers Bsc. BCA, BA, Bcom, MCA, Msc, M.A, and PG diplomas in CA. Undergraduate courses such as Bsc, BCA, BA, and Bcom are 3-year courses and it takes a total of 6 semesters in three years to complete these courses, 2 semesters per year. Rajarambapu Institute of Technology is a leading technology college in Islampur, Sangli by KE society. The college was set up in 1983 and is an autonomous institute.
