Vikrama Simhapuri University Nellore is a state-of-the-art university, incepted in the year 2008. The university is on NH5 and is around 6 miles from the main city of Nellore. The university runs two colleges out of which one is in Nellore and one is in Kavali. There are over 100 colleges affiliated to the VSU Nellore. The university is known for offering PG courses and as of now the university offers 26 PG courses in Science and Arts streams. The current chancellor of the university is E.S.L. Narasimhan. The university is now nearly 15 years old and has earned a niche for itself but is still in the quest of quality education. The university is doing their bit in providing one of the best man forces in frontier areas of education.
Above all, the university doesn’t just train students to be an able person to do a job but also teach them values of humanism, ethical values, tolerance, and secularism. The university runs many research programs and innovative teaching style and for that to happen, the university has started center of excellence at their campus.
