Founded by Shri Shankarrao Genuji Kolhe, a philanthropist, the Sanjivani College of Engineering is located in Kopargaon, Ahmednagar. It is a private institute, established in the year 1983 under the Sanjivani Rural Educational Society as one of the leading technical colleges in Maharashtra.  It is affiliated with the Savitribai Phule University, Pune. The courses taught at the college are accredited by NBA, Institutions of Engineers (India), ISO 9000, and also NAAC ‘A’ grade. It is also approved by AICTE.

Gokula Education Foundation laid the foundation of Ramaiah Institute of Management under the aegis of Ramaiah Group of Institutions, Bangalore in the year 1995. The programs of the Institute are affiliated with AICTE, AIU, and NBA.

Marine Community of India gave birth to Indian Maritime University, Vishakhapatnam, in the year 2008 through an Act of Parliament (Act 22). The Indian Maritime University took the responsibility of promoting training, research, learning, and extension work in the field of Marine and established branches in different cities like Kolkata, Kochi, Mumbai Port, etc. 

With the purpose to promote research facilities and knowledge, this university provides under and post-graduation and Ph.D. degrees in programs like Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Dredging and Harbour Engineering, Maritime Logistics Management, etc.

One of the largest maritime educational hubs, Tolani Maritime Institute was founded in 1998 to provide academic degrees in Marine Engineering and Nautical Science. The courses of the Institute are recognised and affiliated with the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) and The Indian Maritime University.

Established in the year 1991, Sankara College of Science and Commerce is built under the umbrella of Sankara Educational Institutions.
