PES University is situated in Bangalore, Karnataka, is a private university which was established in 1972. One of India's top institutions of higher learning for both teaching and research is PES Bangalore. PES University awards numerous scholarships in the form of fee concessions to the students. The university has an agenda of not offering scholarships to the students while taking admission. Rather awarding them with scholarships on the basis of their academic performance at the university. There are various different scholarships that are awarded to eligible lots amongst the students. They are:
MRD Scholarship: The University offers a 20% of fee concession to the top 20% of students in their academic performance. The top 20% scorers are considered for awarding with this particular scholarship each semester from each course. The students can be eligible for an MRD scholarship each semester at the university on the basis of their academic performance.
Professor CNR Rao Scholarship: The University offers a 50% of fee concession to the top CGPA scorer from each class, and it is awarded on the basis of yearly performance at the university.
Distinction Award: Cash prizes are awarded to the students at PESU who perform well in their academic exams at the university. The eligibility for awarding the students with a cash prize is that he/she has to maintain a CGPA of 7.5 or above for the whole academic year.
Teaching Assistantship: Students who have demonstrated a talent for teaching are given a chance to assist their professors in teaching. And they are paid for helping their professors in teaching at the university.
Rural Scholarship: The University provides with 100% scholarships for a few numbers of students belonging to rural areas. They offer free education to the students pursuing engineering education at the university.
Corporate Scholarship: Many corporate companies offer the scholarship to students in their final year at the university. This is basically awarded by the corporates on the basis of the student's academic performance at the university.
