MBM University (formerly known as MBM Engineering College), Jodhpur established in 1951 is a State University. MBM University Jodhpur is approved by AICTE, UGC and MoE (MHRD). Admission in MBM University is offered in Engineering, Computer Applications and Architecture at UG/ PG/ Doctorate level with scholarship benefits to deserving students.
MBM University Jodhpur was established by the Rajasthan Government following the legislative act passed in 2021. However, the existence of the university dates back to 15th August 1951 when it was known by the name M.B.M. Engineering College. The University is working as a State University and is approved by AICTE.
Vision: MBM University was set up with a vision to produce skilled professionals who are capable of meeting the changing demands of industry and society by imparting top-notch education and conducting research. It envisions becoming a prominent educational institute through its academic curriculum.
Mission: Its mission is to contribute to the growth and development of the nation and world by disseminating quality education to make competent engineers globally.
Presently, the university is providing degrees at UG, PG, and Doctorate level in different disciplines. Students are offered B.E, M.E, and Ph.D courses in different disciplines like Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, and more.
Admission for BE courses are through Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) administered by the Government of Rajasthan. For admission to M.E courses, preference will be given to candidates qualifying the GATE exam with a valid score card. Weightage of the academic performance and interview is 70% and 30% respectively. Separate merit list is prepared for GATE qualified candidates and Non-GATE candidates. Students who want to enroll to do Ph.D / M.Phil courses are admitted through the JNVU-MPET exam conducted yearly. To qualify in the entrance test students must secure at least 50% marks.

MBM University students receive scholarships from different government agencies or alumni associations of the institute. Some of the scholarships awarded to students are Post-Matric & CM Scholarship, Post Matric Scholarship for SBC Students, Chief Minister’s Higher Education Scholarship Scheme, Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for EBC Students, Sitaram Jindal Scholarship Scheme, Sumedha Scholarship, and more. The Training and Placement Cell of the university works throughout the year to maintain and establish connection between the recruiter companies and graduates. Students are given 3 months practical training to understand the work culture of different industries. It conducts various activities to enhance entrepreneur skills and knowledge among the students, so that they can lead the corporate world and cope-up with the changing market demands.
Hard work of both students and the TPO team has increased the number of recruiting companies of the university. Some of the big names in the recruiter companies list are Adobe, Aditya Birla Group, Cognizant, Mahindra, Adani, Oracle, Wipro, HCL, Accenture, Tata Steel, Infosys, Vedanta, Planet Spark, Byjus, JK Super Cement, Shree Cement, Tata Consultancy Services, and more.
The University is sprawled on 98 acres of land and is strategically located within 5km of Jodhpur City. There are approximately 24 buildings constructed in the campus covering 54,606 square meters area. The infrastructure is designed in a way to support students’ educational journey. The academic facilities in the campus include 80 lecture halls and tutorial rooms, 6 workshops, 10 studio and drawing halls, 104 laboratories, 14 seminar halls and conference halls, and 9 libraries.
