Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi started operations in 1998 as State Government University, approved by UGC & AICTE. GGSIPU New Delhi is also known as Indraprastha University (IPU).
GGSIPU New Delhi is recognised by PCI, BCI, INC, Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Council of Architecture (COA), Ministry of Human Resource & Development (MHRD), Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), NMC, and DCI.
The University is also accredited by NAAC, NBA & National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) and International Organization for Standardisation (ISO) certified.
GGSIPU New Delhi has achieved a position on a rank band of 101-150 in NIRF Ranking 2024 under ‘Overall’ category. Also, ranked on a band of 1001-1200 in ‘Top Global Universities’ category and secured 81st position in ‘Southern Asia’ by the QS World University Rankings 2025.

The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has established a Centralised Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CCGPC). The Cell collaborates with various organisations to provide requisite training & placement opportunities to the students. The CCGPC invites the companies to visit the campus to be a part of the GGSIPU Placement drives.
Moreover, the University has a Training & Placement Cell which works dedicatedly with CCGPC to conduct campus recruitment drives.
Furthermore, following activities are conducted by the CCGPC & the Training & Placement Cell at the University to develop the employability skills of the students:
Students of the GGSIPU New Delhi have been previously recruited by the prominent companies like Genpact, Infosys, Capgemini, TVS Motor, IndiGo, Microsoft, Physics Wallah, Accenture, DeltaX, Johnson Controls, Accenture, DeltaX, Johnson Controls, etc.
The GGSIPU Campus is spread across an area of approximately 60 acres of land in Dwarka, New Delhi. The entire campus of the University is enabled with Wi-Fi. Moreover, the ICT-enabled classrooms are available to facilitate effective teaching-learning processes to the students. Also, the University campus comprises seminar halls, conference rooms, and auditoriums which are equipped with modern technology aids to conduct various events & activities.
