Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Hostel has on-campus accommodations for male and female students. Shivalik Hostel and Aravali Hostel are the names of the two boys' hostels, and Nilgiri Hostel and Satpura Hostel are the two hostels for girls. There are around 180 single rooms in each hostel. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Hostel rooms have a bed, pillow, chair, table, cupboard, lamp, fan, and other essential furnishings. Residents can use the mess facilities at each hostel.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Hostel food is of decent quality. Every tenant of the hostel has access to the mess hall. Under the supervision of the respective Warden, the Residents' Committee manages the hostel daily. In the individual hostels' dining halls, meals are offered on a self-service basis. Under no circumstances should any furniture, utensils, or materials be taken out of the dining hall. Food cannot be taken outside of the dining area. Each incident will result in a fine of Rs.100. Meals may be brought into respective rooms with advance notification in unusual cases of serious illness.

The highest standard of community is demanded of hostel occupants.
Residents of hostels should refrain from any behavior that could be considered ragging, including physical or verbal abuse, disturbance, and violence.
All damage to the hostel property must stop by hostel residents.
During each academic session, the hostel warden may decide to change any resident's room. The administration of the hostel consistently works to maintain the culture of dorm life and foster a positive sense of community there. It is forbidden to engage in ragging, physical aggression, adverse discrimination, or the use of drugs or alcohol in hostels.
