NMIMS Mumbai Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

Talking about the building, don't get fooled by the glass building of NMIMS. The building is purely for MBA, and the NM building has BMS that is under Mumbai University. NMIMS BBA classes are held in Mithibai College, where the eight-floor building is divided into three colleges. The first two floors are of Usha Pravin Gandhi College, the next 4 for Mithibai, and the last 2 for NMIMS. NMIMS students had access to both the libraries as they can enter the Mithibai library or NM building library. The auditorium, including all the buildings of the trusts, were four. It was confusing to remember all the names as we had to rush in which auditorium is the guest lecture going to hold. Mithibai college's main auditorium was used for NMIMS events, and in the name of sports, the common ground behind the NMIMS MBA building was used by the students. The college canteen was hardly visited as outside the NM college building, you will find not just Mumbaikars but even travelers from all across the country enjoying Vada Pav of Anand Stall. My cousins didn't often come to meet me but to enjoy Anand's Vada Pav.

Mithibai, NM, NMIMS has the coolest students. The college has produced enough Bollywood stars that events are taken seriously, and students literally practiced all year round to showcase their talent at the annual fest Vaayu. Life at NMIMS was undoubtedly the best days of my life.Read Full Review

The campus was built in 1981 but over the years has gone through renovations. The classrooms and libraries were centrally air-conditioned. The library which I have already boasted before has books covering all aspects of Engineering, business & management, pharmacy, and related areas like economics among others. There’s also a sports complex on the campus which has a cricket ground, carom boards, chess boards, and basketball court. I didn’t use them but the campus also has various labs like a chemistry lab, pharma lab, and mechanical lab among many others.

The campus also has a gym, auditorium, and arguably one of the best cafeterias. Also, many banks were surrounding the campus and that helped me a lot. In our days, data was not free but thanks to NMIMS as the campus was fully Wi-Fi and this facility ensured that students spend maximum time of their in college itself.

The best part of the campus is that you will find students from all parts of the country as the students are chosen as per the merit list. There is no kind of discrimination among students inside the campus. The seniors too are quite helpful as they provide the best study material and also make sure that no kind of ragging is going on in the college. However, the only complaint that I had in my time was the scheduling. The schedule sometimes became too hectic owing to dedicated hours that we were supposed to spend on attending various seminars in and out of the college. However, they have helped me to reach where I am today. The college has a gym and encourages students to indulge in physical activities as well.

Unlike many other colleges that offer the same program, attendance is quite strict and if your attendance is below 80%, you are not even allowed to appear for exams. The college building was revamped the year I joined. The college was centrally air-conditioned and the quality of classrooms was just amazing. The campus can be termed tiny but, in the locality, where the college is located having that much area is also a huge ask. The college also owns a sports complex which is near the college building and sports were held there. The facilities that were available at the campus include auditorium, gym, and 2 canteens. A sizeable library and a common hall. The college campus was fully Wi-Fi then as well and it was our college that has shown way to others.

Just like Mumbai, you will find metropolitan crowd in the college as well. Students from North East too were my batch mates and were a bit surprising. The college issued strict warning against any form of racial abuse or using sexist comments. As a girl, all I know is that felt completely secured as there were guards in place and one complain is all it took to get the matter sorted. The best moments were surely the time spend during 2-day fest. The college fest is called Umang and various Bollywood and political personalities used to come and encourage us. Umang was cultural fest and for BBA and MBA students there was another fest called Insight which was based on the theme of finance and business. I still stay nearby college and never hide from boasting to my friends that I am an alumnus of this college.Read Full Review
