Gokhale Memorial Girls' College has two hostels. Young Women’s Christian Association, a well-known organization, has collaborated with the college in order to provide accommodation for students who come from different parts of the world. Many students who take admission are not from Kolkata and therefore require a local accommodation facility. The two hostels are located a few kilometers away from the college, within walking distance. The location of the hostels is Burns House 134, S.N Banerjee Road Kolkata-700013 and at Gallway House 1, Middleton Row Kolkata-700071.

There are a few eligibility criteria that need to be met in order to apply for hostel facilities. The first criterion is that the applicant must be unmarried. Second, the applicant should be within 18 to 25 years of age. Third, she should pursue a full-time academic course at Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College. The number of rooms available for students differs every year. The quality of food is good, nothing extraordinary. One good thing about the hostel is that the staff members always follow a strict schedule. GMGC has collaborated with the Young Women Christian Association to provide hostel facilities to its students. The hostel is at a distance of 4 kms from the college campus. The food is prepared within the hostel. The type and quality of food is good and hygienic. It is well secured for girls. The YWCA ensures total safety and security of the girl students. Only the mothers and female guardians of students are allowed inside the hostel. There are other PG facilities as well.Read Full Review
