Gokhale Memorial Girls’ College provides a beautiful infrastructure. Even after not having a lot of space it is still beautiful on its own way. It has beautiful decorated air conditioned classroom, one office room, canteen, library with online access, an NSS unit, and cheap store where students can buy stationary items in low rate. It has neat and clean washrooms. The infrastructure is totally perfect despite of having a huge space all over.

The college campus has two buildings. One building is called the Main Building and the other is called the Science Building. Classes of arts and social sciences are held in the main building whereas classes of pure science are held in the Science Building. Gokhale Memorial Girls' College has a well-furnished library. Rare books, ones that can no longer be found in India are available in this library. Students usually spend hours in the library going through books and taking down notes. The library has a central air conditioning system. A computer laboratory is also present on the college campus. The departments of physics, chemistry, psychology, and geography have their laboratories with two lab assistants in each department.

An auditorium is also present within the campus. It is centrally air-conditioned with a comfortable seating arrangement, a gallery, and an incredible surround sound system. A small playground is available on the campus best suited for badminton. A cafeteria is present as well, where quality food is available at an affordable price. Snacks as well as lunch are available. First aid kits are always available at the office. An ATM is located just outside the college campus in case students need to withdraw cash.

Gokhale Memorial Girls' College prepares women to survive and make an identity in a very competitive world. Adequate training is provided to every student so that they are able to cope with the demands of different types of jobs later in life. The college supports and encourages students to participate in activities, however, some departments do not allow their students to participate in inter-college feats. However, other departments motivate their students to get as much exposure as possible.

Every year a sports event is held within the college campus where different departments compete. Annual exhibitions and poster making competitions are held as well. An annual concert is held as well in the college auditorium. Students from different departments come together and participate in the concert. Dancing and singing events are held and students are encouraged to showcase their talents on stage. At the end of the three-year course, the college awards medals and certificates to students who have had excellent attendance in all the 3 years and who have excelled in academics. The GMGC campus is approx 8000 square feet. The college is adjacent to Gokhale Memorial Girls School sharing a common Auditorium. GMGC is opposite to SSKM hospital. On the right side it has Sugar and Spice restaurant. There are many restaurants, medicine stores, religious places for all religion, park, bus stops, metro station available near GMGC campus. The labs are well furnished with necessary equipments. There are separate departmental libraries in each department along with a centralised library with almost all necessary books required for different courses. There is a restroom for the students. The playground, with an area of approx 700 sq feet, has setup for volleyball, cricket and badminton.

My 3 years in GMGC has been great. There are many seminars and lectures being organised at regular intervals. Different type of games including quiz, antakshari, drama are being conducted. NCC camps are organised. An annual exhibition is held where students from all the departments take part. Annual fest "Mohona" is celebrated where students set up stalls. GMGC though maintains strict 75% compulsory attendance, has the best and most cooperative faculties who nurtures your knowledge to attain adequate knowledge in your subject.Read Full Review
