    The placement cell is active. Students are placed during 4th year. Almost everyone is placed and is able to find opportunities to continue his/her education or job. The cell is mostly run by students and consists of a few professionals. Every year, major companies visit our institute and placements take place.Read Full Review

    A Glimpse of IIT Guwahati
    We have strong E cell in our campus. We also have a very strong alumni network known as SAIL. Last year the average placement package was 21 lakh and highest placement package was 2.4 Cr. Over 81% students got placed last year. We have highest B.Tech average package among all the IITs. In our branch highest placement is of 1.3 Cr, average package is 23.5 lakh and the lowest package is of 10 lakh. Here, Internship scene start from 3rd year, students apply for internship but there is minimum cutoff they have to pass to sit in internship. Most of the students get placed around 4th year.Read Full Review
