IIT Guwahati Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules

There are multiple hostels in IIT Guwahati. Every hostel is good and each of them has a GYM, canteen, a shop, mess, and common rooms for the students. The hostels needs some renovation and can be improved.Read Full Review

We have 16 hostels in our college, 4 are girls hostels, 2 hostels got abandoned because of earthquake prone area, and 2 are married scholar hostel. All the campus area is covered by boundary, which separate us from city. Hostel life is too good. Various amenities that are present in the hostels are air conditioned reading room, library, gym, canteen, discussion room, and more. We have one football ground and 4 outdoor badminton courts and 1 indoor badminton court. There are 4 washrooms on each floor along with washing machines. Breakfast is too good and contains all essential nutrients. The overall mess food is above average. Non-veg and ice cream served on Wednesday and Sunday day dinners. We have General championships in the hostel which include sports, art activities, competition, etc. Hostel life is too good.Read Full Review

Yes, we have residential facilities in our institute. My hostel name is ‘Kameng’ and it is known for its culture. It has a wonderful infrastructure. Hostel management provides us all the facilities which are required for our studies.Read Full Review
