The campus of Kakatiya University is spread over 672 acres of land and is located in the Hanamkonda district, near Vidyaranyapura, Telangana. The entrance of the university showcases the rich culture of Warangal through its architecture. Moreover, the entire campus is completely surrounded by greenery. Some other infrastructural facilities offered by the university are hostels, well-equipped library, laboratories, computer centre, health & yoga centre, and sports and games. • Hostels: Kakatiya University provides residential facilities for the students to make them feel like home. The hostels are separate for boys and girls. The rooms are non air-conditioned, and some basic amenities that come with the hostel rooms are beds, tables, chairs, wardrobes, etc. The girls’ hostel is 2 kms away from the college campus whereas the boys’ hostel is just beside the college. Along with the residential facilities, students can also enjoy the mess service. Keeping the hygiene and health factor in mind, the mess serves food to the students to suit their time.
• Computer Centre: The university has a computer centre which was established in the year 2008. It is situated in the premises of University Digital Library. This centre is equipped with more than 70 computers. The users access the servers from across the world and it is completely secure, reliable, and available for 12 hours every day. This computer centre provides computing facilities with internet for both the students and staff of the university, conducts short term courses for the students, and assists various departments of the university.
• Library: The central library of the university is quite spacious and holds a rich collection of more than 1 lakh titles. It has nearly 25,000 volumes of research journals. The library is organised into different sections such as Technical Section, Reference & Textbook Section, Periodicals Sections, Research Scholars Wing, Competitive Examination Material Cell, Newspapers & Magazines Cell, etc. The primary function of the university library is to support study, research, and collect information as required by the students, staff, and research scholars.
• Yoga Centre: In December 2000, a yoga centre was established in Kakatiya University. Students can find the necessary equipment, staff, and accommodation to successfully learn the activities of yoga. A New Yoga Therapy Wing has also been inaugurated at the yoga centre. It contains a variety of instruments and facilities for the students and the staff to use. Furthermore, few extension lectures are also organised where some famous personalities from the yoga field deliver lectures for the benefit of the students and staff of the university.
• Sports & Games: Kakatiya University has had a sports board since the inception of the college. The institution makes sure that students stay healthy both physically and mentally which can be achieved only through sports. Hence, the university sports board organises inter-collegiate tournaments and conducts residential coaching camps for a period of 15 days in each game / sport. There is one field available for each sport like Football, Hockey, Basketball, Tennis, Volleyball, etc. whereas for Cricket, there are 4 fields available. The university also facilitates courts for indoor games such as badminton, and table tennis.
