The PGDM program offered by ISBS is a fulltime course with 2-year duration, and is approved by AICTE. The two-year PGDM program comprises of four semesters, each semester lasting for six months. Students applying to this post graduate management program can choose to specialize in finance, human resources management or marketing.
No matter whatever specialization stream a particular student chooses, he or she gets good leeway in selecting the electives associated with the streams. The flexibility of the course curriculum or syllabus gives the students a wide berth in choosing a preferred career path. At the same time, the PGDM program offers students ample opportunities to hone their IT and soft skills.
The PGDM course goes through regular upgrades that enable the students to stay abreast of the current trends related to the management aspect of trade and commerce. To apply to this program and guarantee chances of securing a seat, students need to be a graduate (any stream). Additionally, the applicant must have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate in the final exam of graduate study.
Additionally, all candidates will have to obtain the prescribed cutoff marks in a national-level management entrance exam like CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA/GMAT/MAH-CET. Some of the subjects included in the PGDM curriculum include managerial economics, management accounting, financial management, human resource management, rural banking & microfinance etc. ISBS can take up to a maximum of 240 students for the PGDM program which is the institution’s flagship course.
The MBA program of Indira School of Business Studies is affiliated to Savitribai Phule (Pune) University and has the AICTE’s approval. The institution’s MBA program has a two-year study period, spread across four semesters. This postgraduate course in management arms students with the requisite knowledge, competency, and skills for confronting the challenges of the corporate domain.
The program equips students with the confidence to stand up to situational challenges in the world of commerce. The know-how and skills that students gain by pursuing ISBS’s MBA course enable them to deal with the volatility of the markets. After completing the course, the students are in a position to handle the rigors of the corporate realm with greater efficacy.
ISBS adheres to the strictures of the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra, to register students for the MBA program. Any graduate student, regardless of the stream, can apply for this course, provided he or she has a minimum aggregate score of 50% in the last qualifying exam. The applicant also has to clear the MAH-CET (CAP) entrance examination to boost his or her chances of securing a seat. ISBS has a total of 60 seats for the MBA program.
