SJES College of Management Studies Hostel Fees: Rooms, Food & Rules, Bangalore

Hostel rooms were amazing as they had a balcony and a garden right next to the boy's hostels. The capacity of the boy's hostel is quite less. I had to wait for 10 days at the hotel. My admission to the hostel was only subject to someone canceling their admissions. I agree that students from outstation enroll here. But the number of rooms that were there in 2019-2020, never remained empty. Food was terrible as I saw students admiring it. But for me, having Rasam Rice and Uttapam daily for dinner and breakfast was not cool.Read Full Review

Hostel was more of a residential thing here because students were given a flat or a room which was in a building that accounts for somewhat like a residential building. The hostel was inside the campus so that made things easier for us. The rooms were fantastic and food was a little big on me because the food provided was pure veg and me being a Bengali never had vegetarian food for 3 or 4 days at a stretch in my life before. Well, when you stay at hostel you had to adjust few things and adjusting the food was alright as the food provided was good enough.Read Full Review

You need to have a strict mindset when going to hostels. I enjoyed my hostel life, but one has to learn to adjust. Not with the roommates, but with the kind of food that will be provided to you. We had a group of students from Rajasthan, as many students from Rajasthan have made their way here, but eating South Indian dishes was never in our destiny is what we felt. At the hostel, though, one has to compromise a little; as I had my food at the mess; some students avoided that and used to travel miles for their meals. The hostel was good and for the ones who love South Indian Food, it can be a treat, but for those who don't, it can be a devil's nightmare.Read Full Review
