BVBIMS has its own training & placement cell supervised by Ms Sayori Poddar (placement and training officer) and Mr. Nemai Chakraborty (Executive Placement and Training). Both the officers focus on fostering robust industrial relations, help students in finding suitable jobs, source apt corporate mentors, and arrange summer internships. The officers also attempt to organize management development programs (MPDs) and send invitations to reputed firms for holding campus interviews.

The T&P cell liaises with corporate houses on behalf of the institution. The placement department recently launched the ‘corporate mentor scheme’ with a view to develop and fine-tune the professional and personal skills of potential managers. According to the scheme, the different classes have been segregated into specific teams, each team comprising 10 members.

A single corporate executive or member is responsible for mentoring at least two teams. Saturdays have been designated as ‘Corporate Interaction Day’ when students showcase different projects and activities to corporate executives. Additionally, the T &P cell makes frequent arrangement for industrial visits so that students can understand the various aspects of production and production management.

The students prepare project reports once they come back to the institute. The reports serve as reference for future students and are archived in the library. Alumni of the institute working in eminent organizations also come down to the institution and speak about their academic and professional experience.

The T&P cell arranges simulated GD/PI sessions monitored by corporate executives. The corporate members guide the students on how to ace the campus interview sessions. Some of the top recruiters at BVBIMS are NIIT, WBSETCL, ABN-AMRO, KPMG, IMRB, Genpact, IBM, HSBC, Standard Chartered, Whirlpool, Vodafone, and Infosys.
