LNJN National Institute of Criminology and Forensic Science Fees Structure & Courses 2025, New Delhi

I have taken admission in M.Sc forensic science through entrance in the 2015. For filing the entrance form you should be graduate from basic science with physics, Chemistry, biology or maths or from forensic science. You will get good practical and theoretical exposure here but if you want a good job please don’t expect from the institute. As campus placement is not much good here for concerned field. Course is as per my expectations but not the job from here. For job you have to go through proper government process or you can get a job on contract basis which is not a stable job for anyone.Read Full Review

I joined M.Sc Forensic Science. The eligibility was to crack the common entrance exam of GGSIPU. And the eligibility for the entrance exam was graduation in basic sciences with 60% marks. I have done my graduation in life sciences and saw a great opportunity in seeing the real-life application of all the theoretical knowledge of biology in providing justice. The course subjects were far above my expectations. During my two years here I got to know not just biology but other branches of science and their application in the criminal justice system. This course is centered on working in a forensic science lab. You get really nice exposure to the field. So it's really helpful if you want to get a job in the forensic field.Read Full Review

I was a student of M.Sc. Forensic Science from the year 2014-16. The admissions in the institute are taken through an entrance exam. Usually, the forms are released around March; however, owing to the COVID situation the dates have varied considerably over the past two years. To get admission in M. Sc. Forensic Science course it is mandatory to have Biology, Physics, or Chemistry as one of the subjects at graduation level. The students having a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science are also eligible. Although, as new courses have been launched there are different eligibility criteria specified for different courses. In India, most Forensic Science vacancies are confined to the government sector so this course cannot guarantee you the job. However, the institute is located very close to Delhi Forensic Science Lab due to which it becomes easier to get your internship done there in order to get hands-on training. Mostly, the summer internship or the last semester internship meant for dissertations are done at Delhi FSL only.Read Full Review
