Government Nagarjuna Post Graduate College of Science Raipur is a Public Autonomous College founded in the year 1948 to impart higher education in the field of Science and Computer Applications. The college is working under the jurisdiction of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur and has been accredited by NAAC. It was also honored with ‘Potential for Excellence’ by UGC.
Vision: The vision of the college is to work for the overall growth of the society through world class education and research to produce intellectual and responsible citizens.
Mission: The college aims to provide quality education to the students from rural and tribal areas by adapting teaching and learning techniques which support knowledge enhancement, skill development, and top-notch education.
The programs run by the college are B.Sc, M.Sc, BCA, PGDCA, and DCA. These courses are headed under 15 departments.
Students interested in enrolling in the college must fill-up the application form available both online and offline. Once the submissions of admission forms are over, the management scrutinizes the application forms for preparing the merit list. Those students whose names are present in the merit list prepared by the college are called with their guardians for interview, payment of fees, and verification of the original documents.
The Government College supports a number of scholarships from government, non-government agencies, and from its own to encourage students for higher education. Government Nagarjuna Post Graduate College of Science Fee Structure
The Career Guidance and Placement Cell in the college help students to get their desired jobs. The Cell performs various activities for personality development, creative writing, preparation for competitive exams, and many more things for its students.
The campus is located at G.E Road, Chhattisgarh. The total land acquired by the college is 43.25 acres approximately. The infrastructure and physical facilities available in the college campus supports teaching and learning. In all, there are over 100 rooms present in the college premises including the class rooms, seminar halls, common rooms for girls, laboratories, administrative section, examination cell, etc. There are 5 gardens present in the college premises including the Botanical garden with rare and medicinal plants. The College has installed water purifiers in each department and water coolers on each floor. Security is maintained through CCTV cameras at different points.
