GITAM University B.Tech is a 4 year Undergraduate course, which also includes lateral entry course, and it has been started to provide a platform for the futuristic imaginations of the students, so that the innovative engineering curriculum and experiential learning outcomes, can solve the current problems of our society.

GITAM University B.Tech program is provided by the University through its constituent entity named as GITAM School of Technology.
Apart from the specialisation program in B.Tech, GITAM University also provides some Study- Abroad Programs, at Florida International University, Miami, USA, at University of Nebraska, USA. In addition certain programs and courses are provided by the University in collaboration with The University of Melbourne, Central Michigan University, University of Windsor, West Virginia University, etc.

GITAM Admission Test (GAT UG) Engineering is the Entrance Exam which is conducted by the University. This exam is a part of the admission process and the students who want to take admission in the B.Tech program are required to qualify this exam and obtain Merit, for selection.
GAT UG (Engineering), is a System Based Exam which is conducted at the specified exam centres. It is a Gamified Assessment Exam, which is conducted in the form of a video game and consists of different challenges.
GAT UG (Engineering) Exam Pattern:
*If candidates have already qualified any other entrance exam such as, JEE, TS EAMCET, or AP EAMCET, then it is not necessary for them to appear for GAT UG (Engineering).
The students who want to take admission in GITAM University B.Tech are required to apply online, either for GAT UG (Engineering), or for Direct Admission Process. The Application process is as follows:

Step 2: Final Selection Process
Candidates who want an admission in GITAM University B.Tech are needed to qualify either of the entrance exams related to their relevant field or GAT UG (Engineering). Once the GAT UG (Engineering), takes place, the university releases a Merit List, and then a Counseling Process takes place. Each selected student is required to attend the counselling session and Personal Interview round which are mandatory, for students to attend, so that they can avail benefits of admission and scholarships
