Indian Institute of Technology Patna has a training and placement cell that plays a vital role of offering a wide range of career opportunities to the students. It establishes a connection between the corporate world and students. In addition to this, various training and development sessions are also provided by the institute for overall development of the students and to make them industry ready. The institute is located at Bihta that is around 40 km away from Patna. It has a state-of-art infrastructure that creates a positive learning environment for the students. The institute is well equipped with several machines and software that are used for training the students of different programs. It has a tutorial building that consists of 29 classrooms and 2 computer labs. The classrooms are well equipped with a projector and audio system. The classes at IIT Patna are fully air conditioned and have a seating capacity of approx 200 students. Various facilities are provided by IIT Patna in order to make the teaching and learning process more efficient. Some of these facilities are mentioned below:

• Laboratories: IIT Patna has set up several laboratories for the students where they can practically apply the gathered knowledge. It has laboratories for departments like Chemical and Bio-Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, and others.
• Library: IIT Patna has a central library that caters to the academic needs of the students and faculty members. It offers a range of products and services related to Information Technology. It has a large collection of approx 14,000 books and 39 online resources which includes various e-books and e-journals. The library also contains a good collection of reference books, dissertations, theses, newspaper and other reading resources.
• Hostel: IIT Patna has in campus accommodation facilities for the students. It has 2 boy’s hostels and 1 girl’s hostel. The hostels have a clean and peaceful environment. The hostel also has a reading room, indoor games room, gymnasium, and food court for the students staying in the hostel. It also provides a mess facility where fresh and nutritious breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner are offered to the hostellers.
• Wellness Centre: IIT Patna has a wellness center that motivates the students to improve their lifestyle. Institute Wellness Centre engages the students in different activities like Sports, Yoga, Music etc.
• Transportation: The institute provides transportation facilities for the safety and convenience of the students. IIT Patna provides bus facilities to the students for their commute to-and-from the campus. Intra campus transportation is also made available to the students.
• Sports: The sports cell at IIT Patna encourages the students to participate in different sports. Badminton, Athletics, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, and Volleyball are some sports that are majorly played in the campus.
• Medical facilities: Keeping the health and wellness of the students in mind, IIT Patna offers several health care facilities for the students. The institute has 3 resident doctors, an assistant and a pharmacist who are always present in the campus to cater to the medical needs to the students and faculty members. It is associated with several hospitals in order to offer medical services to the students and faculty members. In addition to this, a 24x7 ambulance facility is also provided by IIT Patna for emergency services.
