Institute of Hotel Management [IHM Faridabad] was established in the year 1989 as a Public Educational Institution. IHM Faridabad is approved by NCHMCT. The foundation stone of Institute of Hotel Management was laid down in 1989 as Food Craft Institute in Faridabad. In 2009, it was upgraded to the present institute. It is approved by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).
IHM Faridabad offers 3 years duration Degree Program in B.Sc Hospitality & Hotel Administration. It also offers 1 year 6 months duration Diploma Programs in Food Production and Food & Beverages Service.
The institute accepts admissions of those candidates for who meet the following Eligibility Criteria imply on both the courses:
Candidates will be shortlisted for the preferred courses based on their marks in qualifying examinations. These shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview to determine their Interactive ability and General Awareness. Candidates will be selected for admission based on their combined score of Qualifying Examination and Personal Interview. Candidates interested in taking admission are required to submit a Physical Fitness Certificate issued by a registered Medical Practitioner.
*Admissions will be based on First-come-first-served basis. The reservation for Haryana Domicile will be as per the norms of the Haryana Government.
IHM Faridabad assists in getting Post Matric Scholarship Scheme offered by Central Government for students belonging to reserved category sections of society.

The Institute provides Industrial Training to its hotel management students in order to educate them about the real working environment and obtain skills and confidence to excel in this industry. The Diploma students have to undertake a 24 week Industrial Training in some reputed organisation of this industry.
Diploma students of IHM Faridabad have been placed in organisations like Shangri-La Eros, Radisson Blu, The Leela, Holiday Inn, Aahana Resort, Four Points by Sheraton, etc.
The students pursuing B.Sc Degree program got placements in star hotels like Taj, The Grand New Delhi, Jaypee Residency Manor, Jaypee Vasant Continental Hotel, The Oberoi, etc.
