SDM Institute for Management Development Mysore Campus: Photos, Virtual Tour

The campus is spread over 10 acres and is filled with trees, gardens, and a couple of buildings. The administrative block was where our final classes were held, and the subordinate building had a mini-theatre and a state-of-the-art library that is accessible to many prominent libraries around the world. There was a convenience store on campus that sold daily essentials. There was a student interaction room on the campus and also medical facilities on campus. The cafeteria was average, though it served both North and South Indian dishes. Again, the gym was quite small and no extra charges had to be paid to use the gym.

I had a vintage time at SDMIMD and it was so unfortunate that Covid disturbed many of those things. It was a very long route to get back to the College post-Covid because the main events and all were about to happen; our farewell also didn't happen but luckily the graduation ceremony was organized following all the protocols.Read Full Review

The campus isn’t sprawling like most B-school campuses across the nation, but it was big enough for us. The best part of the campus was the greenery. It was filled with trees and plants that gave us the green lung space that we don’t get in other cities. The campus was delightful with all the infrastructure in place. All the digitalization has been used so that the students don’t get left out of the latest lab facilities. Every classroom has smart boards, and even AC in every room was a big tick for us and value for money. The canteen was good as Pudu for breakfast was my favorite meal at the canteen.

The campus is not great for having fun as you will. Academics prevail over extracurricular activities. However, there is such a great mix of students that you will find it interesting to mingle with them and interact. There is an annual fest that takes place in which all the students do participate. However, business fests and events are strictly according to the curriculum and indulgence in fun activities is reduced to a minimum. There is so much to learn and grasp from others while you stay at the B-school. Infrastructure, if I compare it to other B-Schools, might look ordinary. So, if there's anything which should be there in SDMIMD shopping list then it should be getting a good computer lab and revamping the main auditorium as both need some changes. For greenery and environment, I can give 11 on 10, but not on the infrastructure inside the building. Classrooms were the best thing in infrastructure as everything about the classes was alright, from operational air-conditioners to smart boards. The canteen was average; and the immense library had the smallest of the reading area, as not even the entire strength of the College could get seated in the reading hall.

Education was made the leader of all the aspects and therefore co-curricular activities were given the least importance. No other College students were invited to our campus, but we were lucky on that front as we got the opportunity to visit many campuses. There was an annual fest and now since so many outsiders are studying here, having an entire Kannada theme was not fair on the College's part to get the entire student of College to show enthusiasm and interest in showcasing their talent.Read Full Review
