Shivalik Institute of Nursing

For Training and Guidance of students for the future placement opportunities, Shivalik Institute of Nursing helps students by providing adequate facilities. With the help of training programs, workshops and internships, the students receive clinical experience in nursing and healthcare. Students get a chance to learn about the practical implications of their classroom learning with the help of demonstrations and training which are provided in association with IGNC Hospital.

The institute organises on-campus placement drives through which final year students are placed in renowned organisations such as Medanta, Fortis, Max Hospital, BL Kapoor Hospital Delhi, Kokilaben Hospital Mumbai, AIIMS, etc. Through a placement drive, the Japanese Government has also provided job opportunities to various students from this institute.

Shivalik Institute of Nursing has a state of the art infrastructure equipped with all facilities. Established in a multistoried building the institute provides well structured classrooms and audio-visual rooms. The classrooms are spacious and provide a comfortable seating facility for more than 60 students. There are modern systems installed in the classrooms, such as overhead projectors, flip charts, smart screens, epidiascope, audio-video tools, etc.

• Library: To provide learning resources to the students for academic purposes, the institute has established a well equipped library. There is a collection of 15000 + books, magazines, references, etc. Subscription to journals and e-journals are provided for research purposes.
• Labs: Modern and well furnished labs are provided at the institute’s campus. A computer lab with internet facility, high end systems and software is installed for helping students in their research projects. Numerous labs are established for providing practical experience to the students. There are Nursing Demonstration Lab, Nutrition Lab, Pre Clinical Lab, Anatomy Lab, and Community Health Nursing Lab at the institute. These labs are equipped with the latest microscopes, glucometers, dummies, models, and skeletons, which are used for training purposes.
• Other: Hostels with fully furnished rooms, security facilities, and other facilities are provided at the institute’s campus, so that a home-like environment can be maintained for the students. Clinical training centre, Transportation Facility etc. are also provided at the campus.
