Navodaya College of Nursing

Navodaya College of Nursing is one of the oldest nursing colleges in Karnataka. It was established in 1992 by the Navodaya Education Trust and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. The college is recognised by KNC and INC.

Mission: The mission of the college is to integrate clinical and theoretical skills and contribute to the development of top-class professionals with knowledge, wisdom, and a global outlook. The college aims to provide patient care that is at par with national and international standards and undertake research that helps in responding to the needs of society.

Vision: The vision of the college is to provide education that combines professional values & integrity and nurtures students to achieve academic excellence.

The college provides diplomas to postgraduate programs in nursing. Admission to the college is subject to the approval of RGUHS and the management. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Admission Process

For online admission, students can download the application form from the college website. Applicants who have studied outside Karnataka must submit an eligibility certificate from RGUHS.

Documents Required

• 10th and 12th class mark sheet
• UG degree mark sheets and certificates
• Transfer certificate
• Eligibility certificate (for students who have passed the qualifying exam from outside Karnataka)
• Migration certificate and copy of passport (for International students)

The S R Reddy Charitable Foundation provides scholarships to students pursuing B.Sc Nursing and Diploma in GNM. The college selects around 25 students from each course for the scholarship. The scholarship covers 100% of the tuition fees throughout the program. Scholarship applications can be downloaded from the college website or collected from the college. The criteria to avail the scholarship are given below:

• Candidates with BPL cards belonging to low-income households;
• Belonging to rural backgrounds or marginalised sections;
• First graduate in the family.
