Modern Dental College and Research Centre was officially started in the year 1997 under Ideal Friends Foundation (Trust). The college aims to inculcate social and moral values into students and develop professionals to provide top-notch treatment facilities to the masses.

Admission Process
The college offers seats for its programs through the counselling process conducted by the Director Medical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Only NEET qualified candidates are eligible to appear for the counselling. Given below are the stepwise method to register for this counselling procedure:
After registering on the DME portal, the authority will publish a merit list of registered candidates. The choice filling and locking phase will begin where students have to choose their choice of colleges and preferences. After a day or two, the allotment result of the first round will be released. To finalise the admission, students have to report to the allotted college for document verification and payment of admission fees.
The counselling is usually conducted in 2 rounds. However, if there is any seat remaining in the college, the authority carries out a special stray vacancy round.
