Bachelor course in Nursing is a four-year program that equips students with the theoretical and practical skills. Candidates who want to take admission must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English subjects with at least 50% marks. Institute offers a two-year postgraduate program in the field of Nursing. State Nursing Council Karnataka and Indian Council of Nursing recognize it. The specializations offered are Community Health Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetrics & Gynecology (OBG), and Pediatric Nursing. After the completion of the program, the candidate can become the nurse trainer and can work in an administrative and leadership role. The program fulfills the teaching requirement.
Candidates who need to take admission must have passed B.Sc (Nursing) with at least 55% marks. The selection is according to the merit made by marks scored in selection test and University examination. The minimum experience of one-year is compulsory in the nursing institute or hospital after the completion of a B.Sc.
General Nursing and midwifery is a three-years and six months course, which focuses on providing care to families, individuals, and families. Candidates who wish to take admission must have passed PUC/10+2 with a minimum of 35% marks from Science stream and left seats are filled with Commerce and Arts students who have scored a minimum of 40% marks.
