The Chandigarh Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology was founded in the year 1973 and currently it functions under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Principal Secretary of Home and Tourism, U.T.Chandigarh. The institute is affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management, Noida. CIHM Chandigarh is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), and also been certified as the first EAT RIGHT CAMPUS by fssai, Govt. of India. The college offers a B.Sc program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration at the UG level. Along with this, students can also pursue Diploma programs in the areas like Food Production, Bakery & Confectionary, Food & Beverage Service, Housekeeping, and Front Office.

Admission Process
The admission process for the B.Sc or Diploma programs at CIHM is conducted through the offline mode. Students are required to visit the official website of the institute, and download the application form. Further, they will have to attach a demand draft in favour of Principal, CIHM payable at Chandigarh as the registration fee. The authority will publish a merit list containing names of the selected candidates. In case there are vacant seats in the institute, there will be a second round of counselling. To finalise the admission, candidates must report at the institute with their original certificates / documents at the time of counselling for verification.
